Re: Foreflight changes/updates issues
Photofly I guess I got lucky for that time period then. Another friend confirmed what you said as well that the US VFR coverage is not suppose to be there unless you pay extra for it. Aww well, I got so use to it LOL! CpnCrunch I heard about fltplan go but never checked it out, I'll do that! Broken ...

Foreflight changes/updates issues
Hi all! I subscribed to the Foreflight Pro Canada Plan for $149US back in September and I know for a fact that in Maps mode when I zoomed out for a view of North America, I had the full coverage of US and Canadian VFR charts. This helped me greatly especially for adding context to the radar and sate...

Re: Two fatal near Parry Sound
The Cador just came out and not much more info. It's a 182H but no registration listed. Thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. Always too close to home

Re: Theres flight chops.. and then theres the real deal..
As a newbie Im thankful for someone like flightchops putting themselves out there on youtube so that I can have better chance at being a safer pilot. Ive learned so much from his channel... more on his compared to many others that I've come across (especially those that add very little context). I a...

Re: Training at an uncontrolled vs controlled airport
THanks for the solid feedback everyone. I'll keep you all posted on what I end up doing. After I get over this bad cold I'll be booking some discovery flights. BTW I keep hearing about Dennis Simo. A friend of mine had him as an instructor and he also vouches for him. Also I've seen some videos on y...

Training at an uncontrolled vs controlled airport
I tried to search around to see if this topic came up but couldn't find anything recent. I have two flight schools as options for training. Option 1: Busy uncontrolled airpark surrounded by controlled airspace (spectrumairways.com) which is conveniently located on my way to and from work Option 2: C...

Re: Getting Back into Flylng.. documents advice needed
Called Industry Canada and getting the replacement radio certificate is really easy. They just told me to email them with my name, date of birth and mailing address. If you are on file they will send it. For me since I need the name change I will have to send them a pdf of my marriage license. Also ...

Re: Getting Back into Flylng.. documents advice needed
Funny the radio license is the one thing that I can't find. It was such a small piece of paper. I will check Industry Canada's site to see if I can get it reissued. I think I saw a text on their website relating to that. If not I guess I can just retake the test. I remember it being a quick and stra...

Getting Back into Flylng.. documents advice needed
I don't know what came over me but for the past few months I have had this real strong desire to get back into flying after 20+years. What a weird feeling of relief it is now to make it a commitment. I received me glider license through air cadets back in 1992 and I really haven't flown a ton since ...
