Re: Canadian North vs Regionals
Here’s a few points that are by no means exhaustive... CDN north -higher wages -less comprehensive benefit package -rotational work / longer stints away -northern flying -more interesting / diverse flying ( subjective) -less days worked -less hours flown ( I’d imagine) - Majors an option ( not just...

Re: Another CMA Thread
I worked there about a year ago. The minimum requirements for a low-timer were a multi-IFR, IATRA, and 250hrs TT. I'd say there's many much better places to go for a low-timer than Alberta at the moment. Thanks for the response. I'm assuming you were based at Calgary? If you don't mind me asking, d...

Re: Buffalo Joe temporary shut down?
Why use an old DC3 for passenger run? How many seats does a DC3 carries anyway? Wouldnt a Beech 1900 do the job for a fraction of the cost? Maybe someone needs to tell Joe that jet fuel is less than 1/2 price of avgas these days. Have you compared the cost of already paid off DC-3's vs the cost of ...

Re: working for bearskin
haha Yes, I did read it and I will now set my goal to a flying job instead of a ramp job. thank you however, Bearskin is a company I would like to fly for. I'm assuming they wouldn't even look at my resume with 300TT You assume correct. 1000TT with a good chunk of multi PIC will get you in there fl...

Re: Wasaya PC-12 FO Incoherent Ad
People do get hired directly into the plane if they have hours. If you have less than what they are asking for then yes, ramp it is. for the pc12 they won't take you unless you meed the hourly requirements.... even if you apply from the ramp. You have to meet the contract mins for Hydro and NAPS, I...

Re: Summit Air
Applied to Summit a couple weeks ago....they called me today and offered me two positions, neither of which was what I had applied for. I applied for a full-time ramp job offered to pilots looking to get their foot in the door (or so the job ad stated). I also applied for a flight follower/dispatchi...

Re: Perimiter Ramp Wait Time
I'm sure if you're willing to be a rampie (nothing like aiming high!) there should be lots. I'm sure Wasaya can "use" you. It's what that do.....just to name one. Illya what does this even mean? there are literally no jobs that will put you in the right seat immediately unless you are extremely luc...

Re: Out of Province student applying for College/University
First thing, don't even consider Seneca. It is not a good move (it was years ago, but not anymore) and I'm glad I declined my offer there (The education you receive there is substandard, some of the profs are ridiculous, and the sole thing they want there is your money based on my very limited expe...
