Re: Technology and Flight tests.
Isn't iPad + phone a sufficient redundancy? Or they're saying screen is too small?

Re: Hanging up the headset... anyone done it ? Anyone thinking of it?
Thought about it. Still undecided. It sucks that aviation is so dependent on the economy (people having extra cash to travel). Even if I'm able to weather this storm, what about the next one? Next time could be just when I'm about to buy a house, start a family, or started with new company. Other pr...

How to stay productive?
Hi. With all this staying at home, I'm wondering what are some ways to stay productive. I dont have all of the below, but let's say I do (also asking for ones who might have most/all of them). -PPAER -CPAER -INRAT -IATRA -SAMRA + SARON -AIRAF/AIRAT -FTOPS + FTMET (overlaps with CPAER?) -Multi isnt a...

Re: Digital logbook recommendations
I looked for a bit. I couldn't find one the prints it out properly. It either misses columns or the totals are all cluttered up and messy. I've been trying to make an excel version, but I can't seem to format it well enough so it can easily tally up the hours and print a hardcopy that's presentable.

Re: Block Time Rental
I see block time as paying up front for an x% discount and that's it. Everything else stays the same.

Re: Load Factor and Forces in a Turn
Thanks photofly for your detailed explanation! So a better picture to use would be the same picture, but remove centriFUGAL force? But then how would I explain the increase in load factor without centriFUGAL force? Load factor is pretty much Weight+CentriFUGAL (with the appropriate sin and cos) isnt...

Load Factor and Forces in a Turn
I'm referring to this picture: http://avstop.com/ac/flighttrainghandbook/image54p.jpg (Or this if the other one is down: http://www.free-online-private-pilot-ground-school.com/images/forces_during_turn.gif) I'm reviewing my PGI notes for a Class 4 renewal and this confusion came up. So based on my u...

Re: Resumes and Cover Letters Redux
On my resume for education, I have Seneca listed, but put "(Not Finished)" and dates were from 2004-2010. I later got my CPL, MIFR, IATRA, Class 4 at 3 different flight schools. So should I leave Education portion completely blank (remove that section)? Or list the 3 flight schools instead...

Newbie Glasses suggestions/questions
I just found out I needed glasses for my Cat 1. I didnt expect this as I had the Cat 1 for like 10 years. And I didnt have to squint or go very close during a daily basis (other than optometrist saying I should get glasses for driving at night). Basically I can do everything normally without glasses...

Re: Low-timer Road Trip
I'm considering doing this too in spring.
Do they usually just hire on the spot or like a week later (when I'm back in Toronto)?
My issue is that I dont have a vehicle so I'm planning to rent one for the trip to NW ON, MB, SK, AB.
