Re: anyone hear back from ornge?
They usually interview when an initial course is planned. I would imagine the course for the ad just posted would be mid September so interviews probably mid-late August. Phone calls go out probably a week before interviews.

Re: anyone hear back from ornge?
1200tt is ballpark for what Ornge is hiring right now. Along with total time, they are also looking at how far you are from ATPL requirements. Do you have your night cross country PIC and other PIC requirements for the ATPL? It’s a contract requirement of the MOH to have an ATPL as a captain. Any so...

Re: Wasaya
Don't do it man. I was at Wasaya for 6 months in 2018. I wanted to quit after Day 1. Very, very bad company. On par with EVAS. The union is horrible as well. Didn't have any time at all for my grievances. Union Reps are flying the -300 Goldcorp plane so they have it good and don't care about any on...

Re: Which direction crosswinds are easier?
I would say a crosswind from the right would be easier, at least for takeoff. The right crosswind, trying to weathercock the aircraft to the right, will assist with the left turning tendencies of a single engine aircraft. For landing, I would say from the right as well. You'll have a slower GS on ba...

Re: Multi rating.
If "check ride" is meant to be flight test (since the title of the thread says Multi Rating), here are the CARS: (5) A person who conducts flight training in a multi-engine aeroplane where the trainee does not have a multi-engine class rating shall: (a) be the holder of a Commercial Pilot Licence or...

Re: Training at an uncontrolled vs controlled airport
I think going on a discovery flight with both schools is going to be your best bet. Doing your flight training in southern Ontario at either of the schools you mentioned will give you exposure to both controlled and uncontrolled airports. Consider factors like plane availability, quality of instruct...

Re: Question on calculating minimum alternate requirements
Its in the CapGen (I believe -- or in the AIM) -- but bottom line its common sense. You cannot take credit for any TEMPO improvement, as its a transitory improvement, which may not in reality be the condition when you arrive -- You also though if the TEMPO condition is worse and puts you below mini...
