Need Advice

Hey, I wanted to get an opinion from this forum. I hold a TC Commercial with Group 1 IFR. But I have been out of the field for about a year and a half. I am planning to return and would like to do a short course to refresh myself with the basics of the airspace and air rules. I have plans of becomin...

Re: FAA CPL TO TC CPL with 14 month Hiatus

Hey Thanks a lot for your info. So I just wanted to confirm, I should be good with the IR. I wouldn’t need an IPC since I am still within the 24 months? And I have started studying for the CPL exams? But will I also need to give the IFR exam as well? I was thinking that the CPL exam covers them both...

FAA CPL to Class 4 Instructor with TC CPL

Hi Guys I have a FAA CPL and will be getting my TC CPL soon. Now I would like to instruct but I wanted to know if instructing would be difficult here as I have done all of my training in the US and that too in Piper Cherokee. I am sure the manoeuvres won’t be that different but getting used to the n...

Re: Choosing a Flight School in Canada

Are you only looking at schools in BC? There's lots of schools Canada-wide with better weather. With the way the industry is moving in Canada I can't recommend doing a 3 year program right now. Settle in somewhere and finish your commercial, multi, IFR as quickly and safely as possible. If you alre...

Re: FAA CPL to TC CPL

Hey
Thanks for you reply.
It took quite some time for you. I have usually heard it takes at most about a month.
I have heard about the exams and they can be quite tricky.
Thanks for your advice.

Flight Training in US

Hi Guys I am currently training in Southern Ontario at a popular flight centre and am on my way to getting my PPL done. The only issue is the weather keeps delaying me and thus I am not able to gather enough solo hours. I need to head out and practice tasks myself but the weather isn't permitting. S...
