Re: how long

This thread is full of people who have never been in a modern airliner cockpit. No plane flies itself. It’s akin to saying my car drives itself when it’s on cruise control.

Re: how long

I think I know what the issue is here, Tsgarp watched this video and thinks he’s an expert on the subject: https://youtu.be/7Pq-S557XQU The fact is nothing short of a fully working general AI will work for removing both pilots completely from the cockpit. And once we get there, EVERYONE Is replaceab...

Re: SWOOP OTS Captains punted from left seat...

I agree getting rid of picus would go a long way. Also would be great to have a 1500h rule for 705. Did wonders south of the border for working conditions!

Re: Boeing studies pilotless airplane

Creating a wireless link to operate an aircraft imo is completely irresponsible. To go completely pilotless you need true AI, and at that point there are WAY more jobs that can be automated for way more savings than pilots. It’ll create a paradigm shift too big for us to comprehend today.

Why can't we have PRM approaches for the 33s? Pearson has 5 runways, let's use them.

It's pretty obvious he's a troll, all his responses were perfectly tailored to get the maximum reaction while seeming naive. that last bit about swoop a year later is pretty obvious though...

Re: A320 Type Rating Requirement

There’s an easy trick, it’s also the cheapest method.

You build your hours normally, by flying smaller airplanes, and then when you eventually qualify, a company will hire you and pay for your rating!! Isn’t that great?
