Diamond Vs Cessna Flight Training

I live in London Ontario and I'm currently looking at flight schools . Can anyone comment the pros and cons of learning at Diamond with a diamond aircraft vs a Cessna that most traditional flight schools use and what would be the better route.

" The flying will cost you $165 an hour with an instructor and for solo flights the cost is $115 an hour plus tax in a Cessna 150 and in the Cessna 172 the cost is $203 an hour with an instructor and 148 for solo most lessons are about one hour long "

one hour or two
I was told my lessons will be roughly one hour but if I would like I could have two hour blocks. If my lesson is One hour would that be one hour towards my total flight time or more like 1/2 hour because of ground briefing and walk around of the aircraft ect. I have to do my radio test tomorrow or Monday. I work the ramp at an airport and it is required. The book I was given to study isn't very big and basically just tells you how to properly say numbers heh anyone know how many questions on this test?

How much do encore pilots make? When I was working a ramp job I was pushing back a q400 and I now forget the specifics of the conversation we had but I was making more then the pilot lol

so essentially its somewhat like the honour system. I know I am getting ahead of myself here lol just love having some background knowledge so I grasp things quicker when taught. I know my log books from when I was driving truck were audited from time to time.

I have went up in a Cessna a few times with friends and felt a rush and knew I wanted my licence ever since. Saved up quite a bit of money but like Andy said maybe I should save just a bit more before I start so I can stay consistent. nbinont would you recommend doing the ground school at the school...

Generally, flight instructors will try and get their students to go to a ground school course put on by the FTU. But, it is up to you as a student to figure out which option will work best for you.
