Well they gave that construction worker a story to tell for the rest of his life. If anyone believes him.

Re: Be careful what you report finding on the walkaround
No offense lady but there are pilots that cross the ocean 6-10 times a month for 40 years. You are nowhere near the record.

I remember reading your posts when you were getting your start in aviation. Now you're the most bitter angry person on the board. Maybe more than Doc. What happened?

Re: Pilot or Accountant or Both
Yeah sure the only thing preventing you from being a major airline captain is a few years of seniority. Or get your CPA and you can be CFO of a large publicly traded airline. No offense but you sound totally deluded about what it takes to get to these positions.

Perhaps the rumors of scope being secured were premature.

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft
I'm confused. So Westjet pilots had scope before or they just "won" it through negotiating? Regardless of the outcome of negotiations pilots will convince themselves they got a great deal. Such a fascinating phenomenon to watch. I remember similar celebration when Jazz "won" status pay for the 757....

Re: Helicopter pilot thinking about making the move to fixed wing
Air Canada's job ad specifically says fixed wing time.
WestJet doesn't seem to be hiring pilots right now so I can't check their ad.
WestJet Encore's ad says fixed wing time is preferred so it sounds like they would consider helicopter experience towards their total time requirements.

Re: Time to Stand Firm
Being bottom of the list doesn't mean bottom of the company. There are guys that are 737 f/o's at mainline that are below right seat on the Q on the list. It might be a viable career decision to go to Swoop at the bottom of the list (behind current Encore pilots) and accrue 737 time. While also gett...

Re: What is the Average Time to Upgrade from Express to Air Canada Mainline?
You can make over 200 grand a year at Air Canada after 2 years. Over 150 grand after 6 months if the above poster is correct about Emb Captain at 6 months.PostmasterGeneral wrote: ↑Sat Mar 24, 2018 10:17 pm You’re implying that AC is an “upgrade” from Jazz? I guess in terms of pay after 25 years..

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
The new PMA is like a Catch 22. You have to be mental to fly for Express and work your ass off for 30 grand a year. To fly for Air Canada you now have to fly for Express. So in order to fly for Air Canada you have to be crazy but they psych test people so they don't hire crazies.

It's not scabs. You went to the government to argue that it wasn't your flying.
