Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft
Hey Tbaylx,
Enough with the cavalier attitude.
Every time we here that disgusting call sign on the radio we all die inside.
My "jumpseat" will never be open to the "26".
Pound sand,

Re: Swoop offering yearly bonuses?
If any of you Whoopsters are reading this, hear me now, good luck EVER getting a jumpseat....not that I expect you to care but you’ve lost the respect of, at the very least, 91% of Westjet Pilots. I know quite a number of good people who are now working at swoop and count a number of them as friend...

Good!
Let them be short. Maybe then they'll realize that paying peanuts in exchange for a tiny carrot at the end of a stick is a bad retention tool.

Fire trucks followed in a 37 today. Apparently Elsa got a little heated. Smoke in the cabin and cockpit of 1401.

Re: Bearskin FO Pay
Why waste your time with a $#!t company like Bearskin? Shoot straight to the regionals. With the amount of movement happening there, there is no need for you to subsidize training at Bearskin with an upfront bond. Save your parents the money and go straight for Encore, Jazz or Sky. For the record, i...

Re: Pilot Mobility Agreement
So in the case I "qualify" as an OTS candidate, which in my case is more like OTC (go figure) and have plenty of say B777 time, would AC most likely assigned me to that type for the first four years? Thank you. So what did you pay for that type rating Dannyjet? Hardly believe this is a hypothetical.

What do you guys think.
Just my two cents, but given that choice, I would've applied at McGill to get an MBa. Might as well make money and enjoy life a little bit.

First they manage it mentally with their heads. It's about staying ahead of the airplane in all circumstances and conditions. Instructors learn to manage the airplane with one other variable factor, the unpredictable student. They spend hours staying ahead of a student who is likely behind the airp...

Good place to . bags or sell charters for 3 years while waiting for your number to be called on the low time list. Expect to be passed to be passed by a few off the street hires in that time. It'll be even longer if you go there without your multi. The clock doesn't start ticking until you've met AL...

Was just thinking of this earlier tonight. Going to sit down with a glass of Christmas cheer, listen to this great story and reminisce of my days flying up north! I remember listening to this in crew housing on Christmas Eve!
Thanks for the bump North Shore, and Merry Christmas!

Re: Suncor flight dept shutting down?
Good, an Oil company has no business running an airline. They sub out everything else including there own employees, why would they want to mess with aviation? Not in there area of expertise, go drill a well... Go kick rocks prodriver. If this turns out to be true, good luck to all the Suncor crew....

Not sure Chartright can get pilots with the sub industry standard pay they offer. Care to share any facts or figures besides one slanderous statement? Where do you receive your info? No slander in that statement. Pay for pilots could definitely go up. Heard of a few guys turning down the job becaus...

I will add one comment about your interview experience, and I should clarify that I am speaking in general as I do not know who you are and had nothing to do with the interview. Our experience with people coming from the 705 world is that a high percentage don't really know what they are applying f...
