In this post from August 2020, you say you're working at Jazz: http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?p=1124852#p1124852 Traning bond or ... non flying job Report Quote Post by Saubia » Mon Aug 17, 2020 3:16 pm Go...

Re: Reasons to NOT choose Encore
From a current employee to potential applicants, here are MY top reasons you shouldn't consider Encore: 1. Not to beat a dead horse, but flow may soon be a thing of the past. Even if the Pilot Transfer Agreement with Encore, Swoop, Mainline (and Sunwing?) may exist, you're still looking at 6 to 8 y...

Re: Encore Hiring 250 hrs
I can't imagine a MORE appropriate job for a 250 hour pilot. The pay is trash. It doesn't require any special piloting skills. It doesn't require any real experience. It doesn't require any real decision making, insofar as they are not in command. The aircraft offers lots of performance and is easy...

Traning bond or ... non flying job
Good evening,
I was at Jazz and laid off couple of months ago due to the covid situation. Just wondering if you should take the risk to go to a 703 operator and pay the training bond in case jazz call me back or... if I should wait with a non flying job.
Just asking your opinon.
thx for ur help!

Re: COMMUTING - TAXES 2019
One of your biggest expenses through the years will be taxes. Why would you ask for TAX ADVICE on an internet forum... Spend a few bucks and get it done by someone who has some understanding of the tax code, so you are paying your fair share of taxes, but not a penny more. Hire a professional to do...

Just wondering what was the "real" minimum to get an interview at AC? They talk about 2000h on the website but what can we currently expect?
Many thanks for your help!

Re: Leaving a good paying secure job for aviation
You have just one life. Don't loose too much time. But be ready to live some hard time at the beginning.(pay/no good schedule and so on). Work hard for 2 years and then after 1000h you can grab decent job nowadays. But just u can take this decision. Don't listen too much advises because nobody know ...

Jazz/encore
Hi,
Just got a GS scheduled for both: encore and jazz...
With all the last days updates where is the best place to go?
Obviously my long terme goal is the mainlineWJ/AC. A little preference for AC.
Thanks for your advices!

Good morning
I applied for encore a couple of week ago but no news.
1) Do they still conduct interview?
2) in case you have a succesfull interview, do you know how long it takes for a GS when you reach your 1000h?
Thanks for your help!

Re: How long the pilot shortage?
Thanks for your answers, I don't want to apply now as a low hours guys I don't have enough experience/knowledge. In the best case scenario I might have an interview but then if I fail I won't have a second chance for a long time. So no use to apply right now and I prefer to improve my flying skills ...

How long the pilot shortage?
Good evening, I am close to finish my instructor rating and i am in the mid thirty...quite old for someone who wants to become a captain at air canada one day but it what I would like to do at later stage. The pilote shortage might help me a bit but it depends how long it will stay like this. Do you...
