My references were contacted on a Thursday and by Friday evening the next day I got the call. It shouldn’t take that long

Re: Hiring process estimated time

For those of you worrying about receiving that confirmation email, don’t stress. It happened to me and I thought the issue was on my side but it wasn’t. I never got a confirmation email and I was invited for an interview a month later after submitting my application.

Re: SAMRA questions and study guide

Hi guys, I did SAMRA 16 today, and it was terrible. I fail (which is normal for SAMRA 16, according to some comments here LOL). Does anyone know if, in the next time, I have a chance of doing SAMRA 16 again, or we don’t repeat the same exam? I doubt you repeat the same one again. You’ll most likely...

Asking because right after I submitted mine there was a message saying that but I never received a confirmation email. You need to receive the confirmation email. If you don't, your applicat...

Hello everyone, I am wondering if there are sources online that could help me prepare for interviews since I am the worse when it comes to this. In my flying career I've only had one job (703) and I've gotten all my time here needed to be able to work at a 705 carrier. When I got the job It was a 10...

Re: understanding CP and SAR

You are correct, Specific Air Range does not take wind into account, however Specific Ground Range does. When it comes to efficiency, getting from point A to point B using the least amount of fuel possible, SGR is the parameter you want to use. Of course in real life, fuel is not the only factor to...

Re: understanding CP and SAR

The 229.5 kts is calculated the same way you calculate any ground speed. The reciprocal track of 220 is 040, so that is the track home. Plug that track plus the 250/35 wind into your flight confuser, at 200 KTAS, and you get 229.5 kits g/s. You seem to be talking about SAR when SGR is the more appr...
