Re: RAIC Transfer
Hi, do I have to get receipt from old RAIC for new one, at different airport and new company? It's preferable to get a receipt, but without it, they should still be able to call transport Canada and have the clearance transferred to their airport (I've done this twice). It takes a few days and you ...

Re: DEC Westjet Swoop
70-90 hrs depending on how much reserve your assigned. CJet Hey CJet, last question. What type of bidding system do they have? Socialize like mainline? Biding is completely different than mainline. 2 bid options are days off and check in and out times. Days off are awarded via seniority but Swoop u...

Re: New Hires
From what I've heard, Porter put in some recall language to their Flight Ops Admin Guide (essentially some Terms and Conditions) associated with the shutdown and restart of the airline in the late spring/early summer of 2020. Essentially, no new pilots can be hired until all pilots currently on the...

Re: No pilot recalls until Spring 2023???
That is the official company forecast directly from the VP or Flight Ops as of this week. He hopes they can recall earlier, but they are not forecasting 75% of 2019 levels until spring 2023 and that’s the trigger for recall. We are currently 1100 pilots over staffed. I highly doubt that’s the case ...

Re: Captain Upgrade Times
Anyone have an estimate on upgrade times at WestJet Mainline? Someone off the the street. Do you mean off the street directly to mainline and skipping Encore? Right now YYC base is approximately 15 years, YVR base 14 years and YYZ 11 years. That's still based on COVID Numbers though. Just prior to ...

Hiring
I know hiring is not for ages, but I’m FO on the Q. Is it a must to get hired with AC with PIC time? I have 380 hour piston PIC time.
I’ve heard of cases where FO’S get hired without PIC.
Thanks in advance.

Canadian runway Friction index
I recently did my iatra and I had a question that was like, what is the maximum demonstrated crosswind component? All I got was the diagram. I'm a little confused on what number they are looking for?
