Re: Gee Bee Racer
Yes I sold the M20F to Blacksheep in 2014. It's since been sold again and is now up for sale. Strange as it was an awesome little airplane.

Re: Gee Bee Racer
Nice! (I used to be 1000 HP). Too bad I can't afford to buy one now. It's not as pretty as the single cockpit version but I'm sure it would be fun..

Re: 13 postings for over 20 float jobs in Jan alone!
Hey GeoDoc, It sounds like you had a fun and interesting life. I hate to break it to you but I've experienced most of those things right in Canada :) One day my buddy the lodge owner and I were watching satellite TV while waiting for the ice to break-up further north at the lodge. We had a wobbly po...

Re: cessna 180 vs 172XP floatplane amphibian?
My buddy has a C180 amphib and it has a very small payload. You need a very small pilot. Like the previous poster said forget about a C172 amphib for any passenger work..

Newly recertified and full oxygen tank
Hi Folks,
I have a full recently recertified O2 tank. I believe it is 22 cubic feet. Comes with brown carrying bag.
If anybody needs one make me an offer. It is located in Victoria so keep it local I really don't want to ship this item

Re: Airport Maps?
Thanks Jason I'll try it out. Yeah I'm too cheap just because the airplane I fly next will have a copy in it and they expire. Plus, I needed it tonight. Anyways thanks again.

Airport Maps?
Hi Folks,
Normally I don't need airport maps but I am venturing in to the world of multi engines and find myself in need. Being to cheap and poor to buy a flight supplement, I'm looking for a website to get them from.
Any help would be appreciated.

GeeBee Z plans?
I've always liked the GeeBee Z. I drooled on it a little at the Seattle Air and Space Museum. It looks like a beast to fly which makes it interesting. Does anybody know where a guy could get the full scale build plans?
Thanks PZL

Re: Individual air charter
Yes there are a few companies that could use a 206 in the busy season if they will put it on the AOC. Just be careful or you might not get paid.. Alternatively, apply through Transport Canada and get a 703 Day VFR air charter and set up the air service yourself. It's $2700 just to apply and be prepa...

Re: Video - hand prop close call
I had one kick on me once hand-proppin' a Cessna 180 on wheel skies. The pilot had a live mag but had not been testing for it on shut-down. I've still got all 10 fingers so I was lucky. It's common practice to turn a prop through before any kind of start in very cold weather. Radial engines get pull...

Re: Small plane clips tree during emergency landing on road.
Indeed and "excellent job". If despite all his efforts, carb heat on, lots of fuel, lots of oil etc., the engine failed due to a mechanical reason, the pilot did fine. I've had 3 myself and walked away. But landing on a road on the Alaska highway and only hurting the airplane is a damn miracle. I've...

Re: Hand Propping
I spent 45 minutes trying to handprop a PZL 1000 one day. I'm not familiar with the conversion but if it has a geared prop it's a different ball game - Norseman with 1340 was pretty easy to hand spank but an Otter was not -- but enquiring minds have to know --------- did it start :smt040 Not even a...
