“ So, SW pilots should loose out because WJ pilots decided to go to a company that had a 12 year upgrade probability?” Short answer is YES. If you take job security and a new contract you don’t get to hold spots out of seniority. True colours shining through… Onyx buying SW is the best thing that h...

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

For Montreal, it's a 100% win for westjet pilot in the event of a DOH and bid. They didn't have a YUL base before. So worse case scenario they can't have a base they didn't have, best case they remove some swg pilots who were there for years... The Montreal base might be a loss for some sunwing pil...

I will however get you to ask a Sunwing pilot about their overall experience and their views of the compa...

Many variables overall, however it's impossible to deny that Canadian pilots are some of the lowest paid of all G7 nations possibly even g20.

Vac Exp is a part of the SW pyramid, if they went with another airline for the lift it was a strategic decision.

The money has gone down and thus in correlation, quality has followed! Guys are pulling runners at Cathay! Like Cathay for F sakes. That was once the pinnacle of careers... Not anymore I guess and so who keeps the C scale pay and 97hr roster?

Re: Sunwing fleet and pilot rosters for the 2015/2015 season

This English/French argument at Transat is rightfully based on a past practice, however it has very obviously/ factually changed. The reason why Transat currently has reference to French in its company culture is because it is a Quebec based company, and has deep historical ties to Quebec and French...

Until everyone appreciates that flying (air travel) isn't a right it's a privilege, and at the same time inherently dynamic and not an exact science and/or business. It's impossible to explain to, or have empathy for anyone who thinks otherwise. There will always be an off chance that the $hit will ...
