I had a crew visa when I didn’t have a Canadian passport.
You will need an employment letter to support your crew visa (C1/D) application.
As your employer for a letter so that you can submit your application.

Re: C1/D requirement for PRs
1) You will need a letter from the employer for the visa, to show the need for the visa. 2) As far as I know, the US Department if State -> through their Consulate General won’t let you get a visa in a country where you don’t reside. They might ask you to get the visa in the country where you curren...

Re: Non Aviation Employers Don't Respect Pilot Experience
I definitely identify myself with some of the comments I read here. I have a degree in business and an MBA having worked on this field for close to 15 years. Last 6 years however I worked as a pilot being recently laid off from a major 705 operator. It looks like some employers see this as a disadv...

Re: US visa for Sim Training (Canadian PRs)
FlightSafety would address your concerns about this matter. Talk to them.
Jet/Type rating certification would need clearance by TSA for everyone who isn’t USA citizen. Besides this clearance you will need your B1/B2 visa to enter the USA.
But you need to contact FlightSafety.

Re: GGN CRJ Captain
I would seriously look elsewhere first. If you have lots of jet time there are better options. You would likely make more at Sunwing in the right seat in your first year then left seat there and have a way better schedule. What makes you think he/she is not looking some other place? What if she/he ...

Re: Georgian Upgrades
I’m one of the upgrades on the RJ.
I've got 4,000 TT with ATPL (TC & FAA) plus CPL Helicopter.
Georgian is not fooling around.
Rest assure that your friends and family are in good hands.
You read all kind of stuff here.
