I was sold on this investment as soon as they made me realize I missed the boat on amazon and apple. Isn’t it obvious Avatar is the next big thing.... all great stocks start with an “a”.

Re: Typical New Hire RP Schedule.

IMO your best option as a new hire is the Rouge 767. It's probably the best schedule and funnest layovers at the company. Socialized bidding and no reserve is big. Draft pay is 2.5x! Enjoy your amazing lifestyle for a few years while building seniority and then decide if you want to go NB Captain o...

You can thank Marc Garneau for this, and he has no plan to make any changes. You would think we would have something like the U. S. KCM, not if he has any say in it.

It’s definitely a great time to sell, AC has had a great run the past couple years. I would be putting my money elsewhere now. But then again I said that when they were in the 30s too.

Re: Takeoff Minima vs Runway Level of Service

The only reference I see to 1/2 mile is for “all other aircraft”, as in if you don’t have the special authorization for reduced visibility operations (ops spec). So runway 07 is an RVOP runway when it meets the requirements “HIRL or RCLM” and May be used down to 1200 RVR or 1/4 sm if you have the SA...

Except for those Max Drivers. They have a pretty decent schedule

Re: Paternity Leave/ Reduced block

I am not sure if you have to be employed a certain time frame before you can take PAT or RTB. That will be a question for HR. However Normal entitlement is either 12 months PAT, or 24 Months RTB, or you can take a mix of both. From an EI claim perspective you would have to take PAT and not work to r...

Re: 14/3 schedule

If a steady 703 operator can find work year round, a 14 on and 14 off schedule can have you fly over 900 hrs a year easy. So what are you doing working 14-3 and not maxing out your hours in 8 months? Maybe it makes sense if you have lots of seasonal work only or lots of downtime depending on type of...

Maybe just busy keeping the summer rush going with max aircraft utilization.

Probably be about 5 more years until the last aircraft with the sea foam paint is either repainted or retired.

Automation will happen. wont be long. We need to rethink wealth distribution. How will people make money? We wont need to work for a living, we will just live for a living... Sounds fantastic to me! Biggest issue with automation (as we know it will be more reliable than the human) is that its not ev...

Re: Tourist killed at St. Maarten Jet Blast Hotspot

A sign on the fence similar to the "surgeon general's warning" for smoking might help deter the thrill seekers. Instead of black lungs show images of head trauma and brains spilling out over the concrete. "Jet blast kills" But half assed jokes aside very sad. I can see how someone might think it's a...

I thought Gravol would chime in and lecture us how Westjet would never do this to a passenger. Guess they dont have business class so you can't really compare the two airlines.
