Red River Aviation operating out of Selkirk... we offer basic seaplane ratings as well as a 25 and 50 hr professional bush/float course.
Student took the 50 hour course late last fall and started a job this spring in Sioux Lookout!

is there a source in Canada for the aluminum pump out cups for floats. Where the plugs fit into. We have some edo 2000 floats with old plastic ones that are breaking and need replacement. In Manitoba where zebra mussels are prevalent floats have to be painted with a health Canada approved antifouling paint if you want to leave your plane in the water for more than 12 hours. any thoughts on tying a porta bote on a C172.
These are small folding boats that fold up to about the size of a 10' surfboard
i realize that there is not likely an STC for this.
Just wondering if the extra windage would actually cause a problem.

Well, I finished the deal on the plane today. My partner in the plane spoke with the insurance office and got a different agent at the same office who knew his stuff a little better.
