Re: Who will bid the A220?
Some airlines in China pay captains extra to sign the tech log in stations where there aren’t company engineers getting paid to do it. One of my previous companies used to pay an allowance for laundry. I know people in non aviation jobs in Toronto that get an allowance for using the 407 to get to wo...

Re: Looking for assistance finding accom for layover in HKG
Regal airport hotel is sometimes reasonably priced. No transport required. Just walk through the terminal. Nothing much else nearby unless you get in a taxi or take the airport express train. Novotel is nearby and connected to a small mall. It would be my first choice although maybe not the cheapest.

Depends what kind of stay you’re looking for. Silvermine resort in Mui Wo usually has much cheaper prices than the hotels closer to the airport. Cheap beer and a beach to hang out at. Ferry from there to the city about 30 mins.

Re: Air Canada Pool
Hi Fresh Prince I hear you on the difficulty of the narrow body sched. I'm sure you're not "entitled" but you should know that the grass is not greener overseas when it comes to rest and duty. Due to the pilot shortage which actually exists outside Canada, everyone is flat out all the time. In Singa...

Re: Air Canada Pool
Anybody that asks why people with lots if experience are applying to AC haven't worked/lived in the hole that is everything from Beijing to Istanbul. There's a reason people immigrate to canada and not the other way around! #expatforlife #getmeouttahere Absolutely right! I actually love Beijing but...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I also got the pfo email. A little frustrating as I currently have over 7000 hours and over 2000 hours A320 PIC. No degree I graduated high school with a CPL so I wasn't eligible to attend a College program for aviation. I was an instructor at Seneca College when I was 21. Some of my old students ar...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Total time 7000 + Airbus 5000+ Airbus PIC 2000 + Post Secondary Diploma but no University Degree. 30 years old. I applied early in March and nothing yet. The application window just closed so I'm assuming they will start sorting through the applications now. Seems there will be plenty of interview s...
