Re: The Return to Normal?

Hello everyone, Slightly off topic here, but I wanted to know how is Air Canada limiting capacity in their aircraft in this crazy moments of COvid. Example, United caps passenger at 70%, but available seats are showing on their website and the standby employee portal. Is this the same thing for Air ...

Re: USA vs Canadian Airline Career

Without a relative or spouse in the US, you would have very slim chances of getting a job in the US. Even the Australians now are not getting job with their E3 visa and some face problems for the 2 years renewal, because their employer has to prove that there's a need for that individual and they co...

Re: US or Canadian Regionals: Which are better for a low-time pilot?

I was and still is, in the same situation as you. Both Canadian and Us citizenship. What people are saying on this forum is true, life is better in the USA right now for a pilot. I always compare my situation to my friends in Canada flying for regionals and major, there's always something better in ...

Re: FO taxiing

Cargo companies in the states have their fo taxi. I was jumpseating on a atlas 747 and a brand new Fo during his first flight of IOE was taxing the beast of 747. He really did good.

Re: Does Canadian Airlines request PRIA records from US?

Currently work for a US carrier and live in Canada. To answer your question, I’m positive that PRIA records can only be requested by another US carrier. The request form needs a US faa carrier certificate number. Commuting gets old fast, some carrier will allow you to jumpseat internationally on you...

Re: New hire bids

Seems like Jazz is going to be hiring up to 275 pilots next year, mostly Montréal based, see the link below (in French, couldn’t find the English version). Jazz is doing a partnership with a French website Aeroemploi, they just posted a video (in French) promoting Jazz career. There’s also a live ch...

Re: Jazz Reqiurements?

Hi,

How about having some single engine turbine IFR (caravan) as a first officer, do they still require that multi turbine 2 crew environment or single turbine is fine?

Thanks !

Re: TC to FAA Conversion

I am thinking of heading south for a job. Not sure of what path to take here. 1. apply for the atp license and then try and get hired with a company that provides the course. Seems like getting without an actual FAA license would be difficult 2. apply for the atp license and do a $4k 6 day course i...

Pilot mobility agreement

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some clarification concerning the pilot mobility agreement. http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com was recently updated for AC and Jazz and it specifies that 80% of ground school spot will be from Jazz. Is this referring to the pilot mobility list (PML) or is it a new agreem...
