Re: Classic Dash replacement??
The Q is already operating into YGK That’s good news! Isn't a great airport for the Q though. Especially in the winter. 100' wide runway..if it's plowed to the edges (limit is 98' for the Q in order to be able to turn around) and 5000' if landing on 19. It's tight... Has anyone encountered issues t...

Re: Cathay Looking For Canadians
Visited HKG last summer. Approx $4000 USD for a 450 sqft apartment, in Central HK, near a metro station that would get you to the airport in 90 mins or so.

Logbook certification
I am building time privately. IE renting blocktime off of an owner of a cessna. How do I certify my logbook once the hours are done? Get the owner of the plane to sign "times in C-XXXX are correct from this date to this date" or attach photos of every single journey log entry to submit with my logbo...

Jazz new hire here. This place is super legit.
I hope we keep the bar high, so GGN and SKV guys and gals can be elevated to a lifestyle similar to what Jazz has to offer.

Re: PAL 1900
I ALWAYS flip through the enroute. Never know when I'll need to find a nice oyster bar when Im in the maritimes, or when I'll need to find a quaint boutique hotel whilst in YQB. Enroute always knows best. Sometimes I stare at the route map to plan my next standby getaway on a string of days off. In ...

Starting GS next week - trying to get to YYZ. If given the choice of the Q400 or the Classic at a different base, could any current Jazz folks weigh in on which of the two fleets would see faster movement to getting a YYZ base?

Re: Jazz and Wasaya Airways sign pilot pathway agreement
When asking hopeful candidates at a wasaya interview "why do you want to work here?" a perfectly acceptable answer is now "because I want to work at Jazz."
Wow.
Wow.

Can you use FLICA to add flights on SDOs to get Overtime? or is there a more thorough process of getting OT approved.

Made it to medical stage, dont mean to count chickens before they hatch, but nonetheless curious.. Could anyone shed some light on what life and pairings are generally like on various types and bases? I understand reserve is reserve, so lets assume a junior flying block. Mostly interested in favored...

Re: Hawkair recession
CMA and NT air will likely take over the hawkair flying. It all went into the same bucket as far as I know. So it appears you have an instance of a unionized company (hawkair) being dissolved and having its flying distributed out to its non-unionized counterparts. On the social media front, twitter ...

5T and 7F?
Its been a couple of years since ive seen posted ads for either of these companies looking for flight crews. Any idea as to if they will start hiring again due to retirements, attrition, new work or all of the above? Or are there still too many furloughed crews to get back before the need for new hi...

Re: Working for airlines sucks what else should I look into
+1 for conceptually missing the North and the adventure it brought. Now its boring. Autopilot ILS boring. White shirt and tie boring. Same conversation with coworker boring. Boring is good. Boring is a schedule every month. Boring is flight benefits to europe. You want excitement? Try flying standby...

Re: I heard there were direct entry ERJ Captains?
I think it's undid because people don't want that hassle. Unlike previously, where AC really had a shortage of captains, now I think they'll just let those spots go unfilled and die off as the airplane leaves the fleet. All 25 E190's are in the fleet until the end of 2019 (3 more years) and then th...
