Re: Extension to applications??

I received an extension from 18 months to 24 months a few months ago.... I am sitting in the eligible for offer pool at the moment. Beyond frustrating all this craziness going on, hard enough to be patient during normal times let alone now.

Re: YEG Applications process

Any updates from anyone guys?! Nope, and likely won't for a while. The world is still in frenzy and it needs to start coming back to reality before air travel increases (which is needed to increase NavCan revenue and staffing needs). Last update was a few months ago when they told me my elig...

Re: YEG Applications process

Indeed it is! Haha to cool! Congrats on the pass, now we get to wait :/ Will be interesting to see how long the wait is. I passed the October bootcamp along with 4 other people from my day. One got a VFR offer, one an IFR and the other three of us are just waiting. Sounds like the VFR course was ju...

Working ATC overseas

Not sure if this belongs in the General ATS question forum or the NavCanada Hiring forum. My question is, once you have tenure with Nav and/or eligible for retirement, if you wanted to go work ATC in another country for a new experience (liked the looks of Dubai for example), is there programs to do...

Re: Feast testing results

I got an email for an invite to the bootcamp about 20-25 days after FEAST. I did Feast near the end of the selection though. You’re in YEG right? I heard they’re doing 13 days of FEAST with 8 people per day. Gotcha, I don't think they will wait that long because they said bootcamp is 2nd/3rd week o...

Feast testing results

Hey everyone, just did my feast assessment on Tuesday, had 2 questions for you.

1)how did they notify you of pass/fail? (Did they email you, or just update your workday status)

2)about how long was it before they notified you?

Tia!

Anyone else get the invites? I just got my date for YEG in person assessments. So excited but nervous out of my gourd (haven't done the FEAST yet, did the old W-SIM and passed that one)

Here is a link to the latest collective agreement: https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/agreements-conventions/view-visualiser-eng.aspx?id=2 That link is not the latest collective agreement between CATCA and NavCanada. It is between The federal government and CATCA representing a small number of controllers s...

Re: VFR in Yellowknife??

YZF has company housing provided that you may use. I was up there 10 years ago but I paid $700 (utilities included) a month for a 2 bedroom apartment and 3 bedroom townhouses were $1050 a month. Looking at the current rates its $780 for an apartment and $1266 for a townhouse. If you choose to live ...

VFR in Yellowknife??

Hey Everyone, Hoping to get a VFR slot for next fall... but I will admit the locations are pretty bad....I will make whatever needs to happen work, and some locations are less crappy than others....but I am scared out of my wits about getting yellowknife (whitehorse would be better) mostly because o...

Re: How long were you Eligible for Offer?

I feel for your unfortunate turn of events. Far from being any of the other folks who get neither a seat in training nor a good job they like outside of Nav, but definitely a long journey. I admire your perseverance and i hope you're successful in the coming application process once more. Thanks! m...

FIC locations in YEG FIR

Hey everyone, So after a roller coaster of a process almost two years ago (resulted in me unfortunately having to decline a VFR offer, which was exactly what I had wanted)...I have re-applied for ATC. However, I now see that they have this FIC position, but it is kind of unclear as to where exactly ...
