Re: Runway Excursion Thread

From Tsb.... C-GDCW, a Springbank Air Training College PA-34-200T, was on a local training flight out of Springbank Airport (CYBW), AB. During the landing, the aircraft landed approximately 1100 feet after the threshold on the ice-covered runway. The aircraft skidded approximately 20 feet past the ...

Re: Pilot Hiring 2025

Anyone interviewed in June/July and heard anything ? Ref checks ? Also, Will the increase of hiring jazz pilots cause pfo to ots? No. You wouldn't get a PFO because of Jazz hiring. You would be hired slightly later. They can barely afford to PFO anyone if you believe what you have read in this thre...

You have to select pay for a new rating and not license/permit. Confusing little website.

As for the second part - Since you are limited to how many stalls you can ask to see as an examiner, you should focus on realism. Might as well as for accelerated stall with full flaps, because it can happens even if you compromise the integrity of the flaps - it can happen. This might not be profe...

Re: AA plane catches fire at KDEN

Is this how evacuations are supposed to happen? Looking at the video, seems there was a significant fire on the pavement under the plane. My first thought before I read what happened, it was a fuel spill that ignited. Is possible they couldn't use the slide because it would drop folks right into th...

This particular day there was a water main break in Fort McMurray that caused a bunch of cancelations. So if the plane was an RJ maybe it was stuck up there.

Can't even feel sorry for this moron. Just for everyone else's lives he ruined. You have a duty as a pilot when passengers are trusting you. Church is not this important.

I recommend that you study more, and you'll find the answer as to whether you need to complete the groundschool to write the exam. Don't try and cheat the system, you'll be doing a disservice to your prospective students.

Any internal acknowledgment of this incident at AC? Hopefully she has been suspended/fired by now. Suspended? Fired? Are you mad? There is clearly more to the story. Having done flights to and from Morocco I’ve had more than one occasion of unruly passengers. I will bet 100% there’s more to it than...

IMO, the company also has a perception issue to fix regarding upgrades; a lot of people believe it will hinder their chances at getting hired by Air Canada; which is hopefully just a rumor. I too have heard this 'rumor' have spoken to a couple FOs at AC that think they would have flowed to AC soone...

I LOL'd at this part  Calgary transat is terrible. From just about anywhere in the city it’s 2 hours to the airport and 2-3 transfers. You need a car in Calgary. In Toronto or Vancouver that is not the case. Toronto is worse unless you're near an UP Express stop or Kipling station for the 900 ...
