Re: FlyDubai 737 (Rostov-on-Don, RU)
Can any 737 bubbas comment on the TOGA/ flight director relationship when using single channel autopilot? I know a dude that left my former RJ company to fly as a captain over there. It was a shitty feeling waiting to hear back from him, to see if he was alright. Autopilot disconnects on a go aroun...

They are stilled being installed, Mickey just came with them installed and I saw another 800 in YLW possibly getting them done with the new seats. As far as I know all 800s will have them.

Re: New Routes coming for Westjet
One IROP and the poop its the fan. I agree YYZ domestic would be out of the question. I thought the 4th '67 was to be a spare. No? It is. If you look at the LGW sked in the summer it's planned around 3 planes and a spare.... In the winter, 1 airplane is gone on the YYZ-LGW route, 3 airplanes to cov...

Re: New Routes coming for Westjet
It will be interesting to see where they get the additional B767's to operate LGW in the winter. As this winter is now being operated by 3 aircraft, current usage is: YYC-HNL-YYC - 2x (14hrs each) YYC-OGG-YYC - 4x (15.5hrs each) YEG-OGG-YEG - 3x (13.5hrs each) YYZ-MBJ-YYZ - 1x (8.5hrs each) YYZ-YYC...

You can buy a fitted suit on special for under 100$ No excuses on not dressing the part in my opinion But then to each its own. Andy Wasting money on a suit for a one time thing makes no sense. Will the 767 crews be grooming after an all night crossing? Or maybe they'll send the RP back to do the clean up? Or if they aren't going to groom how do the rest of the crews feel about that? Will they forego 3% in their profit share? No, no RP, don't seem to care, and more aspects to profit shari...

Re: Westjet cuts in BC.
I wonder if this was Air Canada how many mayors would be screaming to hold a royal commission crying foul. A lot of these same routes were quietly cut before Xmas.... Which ones? I don't think any of the above are/were AC routes. On a related note... Westjet stocks getting hit as profits miss... ht...

Re: Sky Regional New Pay Scale
I heard a rumor that SKY might be starting operations in YVR in addition to current bases YYZ YZT YUL .....can anyone confirm or anyone else hear this or bs or ?? If so I'm guessing EMBs? I'd be surprised. My understanding is the single engine ops for the 175 over the rocks is pretty restrictive. W...

Do ACA pilots and rest of the crew, bid or are the asked to fly the sports teams around. With hockey and basketball teams you are in for one game and then you go. What about baseball.During the regular season you could be in a city for a few days.Does the airline or sports team pay the crew anythin...

Re: WJ vs. AC......performance
I was impressed to see AC stock surge today on the news that they were following WJ and removing the middle seat on their Rouge planes (I assume). The two companies are not that same though. It would be like comparing Delta or United, to Alaska or Southwest. I am curious as to why AC thinks the MAX...
