as an r/c freak(i no longer fly full size), i estimate there is $40000-$50000 tied up in that thing. the turbines alone are around $5000 each times four, plus all the electronics.....

i don't fly full size anymore(atpl and 3000 hrs), but still get my fix flying r/c. i have one that does 160knots straight and level(that really gets the adrenaline flowing!)

that airplane was on the cover of a canadian flying magazine(gettin' old and cant remember the name) about 25 years ago. i have about 50 hours on a canuck and they are a real joy to fly :D

check your shoelaces... one jumper tied my running shoes together with enough slack so that i could still move the rudders, but fell on my arse getting out of the plane :oops: i was totally embarassed, but still got a good laugh out of it...

it doesn't make sense. i was offered a job driving for go transit(turned it down) at almost $50,000 a year plus paid training. took years and big$ to get my atpl and the best year ever i made $20,000 flying full time

funny that you would say that motorcycles are safer... i put approx 65,000kms on my nighthawk since 2000(sold it last week :cry: ) and not a scratch the whole time. bicycling to work in january(rode all year round)i hit a patch of ice.. bruised ribs, fractured right hand... wasn't pretty!
