Re: Air Sprint Questions

Hello, I have some more AirSprint questions that I'm quite sure haven't been addressed already. Some are open ended but any info anyone can share would be appreciated. Hopefully some AirSprint pilots or management can chime in. (Though I'm sure we'll hear from the pesky trolls too :) Schedule: The ...

Re: Air Sprint Questions

Any update if there will be any hiring at the YUL base ? (FO) Hi Av8andsleep, We expect hiring will resume in May or June and there should be First Officer positions available in YUL at that time. Feel free to reach out directly to me if you would like further updates as we get closer to those date...

Re: Direct entry captain Air Sprint.

To clarify a few points; - Direct Entry Captains would start at year one on the appropriate fleet Captain scale. - The 14/14 schedule was paused for about 9 months while we addressed a significant crewing shortfall on the CJ fleet due to the growth we experienced through and post Covid. While we are...

Re: Direct entry captain Air Sprint.

AirSprint has a great hiring committee and their typical (successful) candidate is very resourceful. I wonder if their careers page has any information that may provide you with an answer. I take it you haven’t dealt with PL on the hiring committee. They didn’t get their position because of their p...

Good morning,

We are continuing to conduct interviews and hire. We've slowed a little in the last few weeks as we've filled the courses up through November, but will be starting more interviews in the very near future.

Cheers,

Re: Air Sprint Questions

Any Halifax or East Coast based positions for DEC on the Embraer? Thanks. Hello YHZCL, We are continuing to hire throughout the coming months. I believe we have filled, or are in the process of filling, the November courses and December will be next on the list. We do have a couple pilots based on ...

Re: Air Sprint Questions

Had a question about Air Sprint IOCC program. How long is the wait before going to the flight line? And the WAWCON for the IOCC guys? Hello, and sorry for the delayed reply. The IOCC positions are not currently a flow through to the flight line unfortunately. We do have an OST (Operational Service ...

Re: AirSprint - Updated Pilot Career Guide

For anyone looking for an idea of what to expect I took a look though our schedule today and tomorrow, of the 36 aircraft currently with flights, 8 have a departure time prior to 0800 local and 1 has a departure time prior to 0700 local. Report time is normally 60 minutes prior to ETD. On the other ...

Re: AirSprint - Updated Pilot Career Guide

Thanks for being so transparent here and posting all this information. A few questions for the management, 1. Do we have a choice of equipment when being hired or is it awarded on an as-needed basis? If not, when can we change equipment and does it affect the training loan, is it based on seniority...

Re: Air Sprint Salary

Those are reasonable rates but a 25yr pay scale is laughable. Hello Folks, The reason we publish a 25 year pay scale is because we have a number of pilots who currently fall into the 18-23 year ranges. It's not expected that someone starting today at year 1 will see the pay as described in the curr...

Re: A read for all negotiating pilots - Even the Meter Reader job, which requires no education makes $70k a year!

That may be in reference to the pay scales compared to two years ago, as 1st year FO pay was 55K to start, we then implemented pay changes last year to 65K and now the most recent change to 80K. Comparing the pay rates from 2 years ago to today is approaching a 50% increase. On the CJ Captain side, ...

Re: Air Sprint Questions

Have applied to Air Sprint several times in 12 months, but never ever got a reply, even after emailing the DFO and CP directly. Several thousand hours total time plus TC ATP and First class medical. Doesn’t seem like a very professional company. Hi, We strive to respond to everyone that contacts di...

Re: AirSprint - Updated Pilot Career Guide

What about week on week off? It’s impossible for some to move as our partner would take a substantial pay cut. Toronto and Ottawa while they are only a few hours away, it’s not a drive that one wants to do all that often. Hi N181CS, While we do offer a 7 and 7 schedule it may not be available depen...

Re: AirSprint - Updated Pilot Career Guide

Pilots may choose to be based at either our main bases (YYC, YYZ, YUL) or sub bases (YYJ, YVR, YLW, YWG, YXE, YWG, YQB) and we handle all costs associated with getting you to an aircraft and back home. Positioning occurs on your available to work days. Hi Matt, is the YOW based now closed? If so, a...

Re: AirSprint - Updated Pilot Career Guide

Some questions for management: 1. With regards to scheduling.. is the 14/14 a guarantee of 14 days off in a row? 2. For the 16/12, it was mentioned earlier as 8 on/ 6 off... could you work 16 straight and have 12 off? A rotational position on a jet sounds pretty great. I don't know of many companie...

Re: AirSprint - Updated Pilot Career Guide

Is there a reciprocal agreement/jumpseat agreement that allows pilots to commute? Hi Pilotguy53, We do not have a reciprocal or jumpseat agreement as we are unable to return the favor.
