Fellow Pilots, Following eight months of intense negotiations, your MEC is pleased to announce that the pilots have reached an Agreement in Principle (AIP) with WestJet on our second collective agreement. Your Status Representatives voted by majority to accept this AIP and present it to the pilot gr...

Re: John Aaron negotiating public
Pure union busting propaganda. Totally expected and par for the course with WJ management. Does anyone remember last contract negots, WJ twisted the words of a senior Captain RM, made it sound like we all made 400k+. It's pure propaganda aimed at public opinion and sowing dissent in our ranks. Don't...

Alexis' emoji
Alexis posted a tweet with a strange emoji at the end. We regret the union @WestJetALPA has served a strike notice. Our offer would have made our valued @WestJet pilots by far the best paid in Canada. As the union maintains unreasonable expectations we see no alternative then to lock them out as of ...

Re: Don't be a scab
No westjet pilots will be blocking disrupting or otherwise bothering any pilot from a separate airline (this includes encore) or any passengers during this strike. You can fully expect it to be a peaceful professional display of unity. Same if it was air canada or transat pilots striking....the unio...

Re: Don't be a scab
A few people will monitor the internal flight information if any Boeing westjet or swoop flight departs during the strike so everyone will be aware who flew when they shouldn't. Honestly there won't be any Boeing going anywhere so it's kinda a moot point.

New Grooming E-Mail
Check your e-mail shortly: Aircraft Cleaning In recent negotiations, the Company was willing to talk about aircraft cleaning (or “grooming” as it is commonly known), a contentious issue to a large portion of our Pilot group. In short, after discussion, and with the aid of Mr. Kaplan, WestJet managem...

Re: New Arbitrated Contract
I'm surprised too flashheart the Canadian Aviation Regulations Part IV, Standard 424.17 (4) specifies the physical and mental standards for medical categories. The standard related to mental issues is stated in 1.3 (a), 2.3(a), 3.3(a), 4.3(b): “The applicant shall have no established medical history...

John Your style of grammar and punctuation provides an obvious fingerprint. Next time you create an alter-ego for the 23rd time (Alpa Male), perhaps switch things up a bit. Creating a fictitious username to boast and self congratulate yourself?!.....perhaps your 24th could be named Trump. :oo...
