Re: American Express (Premium Plaza) Lounge will now require a boarding pass
The food at best was mediocre. I was bringing in my own food especially in YYC. I was using the lounge for quiet time as the terminal was too noisy especially with the WJ announcements telling me this was a good time to go the f-ing washroom. Mind you there were a more than a few times when the youn...

Re: Swoop Blacklist
More pilots have been terminated since ALPA arrived at WJ than in the last 10 years. Who knows, there could be more on the way. Three cheers for representation!! 1. Wrong. Prove otherwise. Do you all of a sudden have inside information? Pretty sure that's a violation of privacy issue. Maybe there w...

NCP,
The WJPA who had “a seat at the table” were blind sided by the Swoop announcement. Thier words not mine. So how did the WJPA negotiate if the didn’t have a clue on what was coming?

Re: Why would anyone want to go to Swoop?
Aviation memories are short in Canada. The blacklist is all BS. You will not have it "hanging over your head for your entire life" Canadian and Air Canada pilots share the same cockpit, so do Air Canada and Air Ontario. No one blacklisted the Jetsgo pilots who handed over a briefcase full of $30,00...

Re: Why would anyone want to go to Swoop?
I just wanted to post some frank information about the reality of Swoop Airlines for any young pilots weighing this as a career move. I am clearly against Swoop and what it represents to the aviation profession in Canada so I fully acknowledge that I am writing this from a biased point of view. How...

Re: Getting Swoop flying back to WJ pilots
I'm confused. Has WestJet said they won't allow WJ pilots to apply to Swoop? Is it not ALPA that is "blacklisting" anyone who wants to fly for Swoop? If that is correct and no WJ pilots are applying to Swoop then it would seem to me the company has every right to hire off the street. I’m confused a...

Re: HELP! Telex 850ANR Versus Seinnheiser HMEC 46 ANR for B7
So I take it the other posters who flew with the uflymic setup either had a hot mic or sat in the left seat? I wouldn't mind the noise cancelling in just one ear, I just picked up a telex 750 and find that I have a hard time making out ATC transmissions For those of using a 5x5 did you ever have pr...

Hey boeingguy, is the filtered earplug a regular earplug with foam or is it something different? Do you know the brand name? I got a filtered molded ear plug set from Costco. I think it was around $50 for the set. It comes in handy for walk arounds. The beauty of Costco is if you don't like them yo...

Re: HELP! Telex 850ANR Versus Seinnheiser HMEC 46 ANR for B7
I have the QC and Uflymic set up. Its works really well with a live intercom system. On the NG I find it doesn't work well as the NG's I fly do not have a hot mic system (unless you toggle the mic system all the time which is a pain in the arse). The ufly set up doesn't work well. The reason is beca...

Sennheiser HMEC 26-T - Anyone have one- comments?
Just wondering if anyone on here has the Sennheiser HMEC 26-T headset? If so do you like it? I would be using it in a non intercom aircraft and would like to know if the talk thru feature is any good?
Cheers

I believe you are on the right track. It cools the air which in turns makes the intake air more dense hence more power.
