Re: DEC Posting

Hello I have been reading the posts here for a while. I wonder what life is for a Junior Captain based in YYZ now, in July 2022? Do they fly a lot while in Reserve? How hard it is to commute? What is the net monthly pay? Are there benefits you can opt-out to get better net pay? I know the starting s...

Re: Dispatcher/operations as a career?

Hello I worked in Dispach before going flying with the same regional airline. Besides what 172driver said I would add that you should consider whether you want to move or stay put. Each airline has its Dispatch in different cities. If you don't want to move I would start by checking to see if there ...

Commuting

Hello
I was wondering how hard/easy it is to commute with Flair. Do most pilots live at or near the bases or are there lots of commuters?
Any info will be much appreciated.

Are there any confirmed cases of Covid 19 transmission on airplanes?

Has anybody seen reliable reports of passengers or crews getting COVID 19 on airplanes? I mean from mainstream media or at least not from conspiracy websites? I have seen lots of cases of sick passengers traveling and I guess in those cases the other passengers were contacted and monitored but I hav...

Re: Bravo Cargojet Airways.

Hi guys
I know this has been discussed before but I can't find it in the forum. Can you commute with Cargojet or you need to live in Hamilton? I know they are UNIFOR, not ALPA but I can't remember if they had jumpseat agreements. Also any feedback in what's like there would be welcome.
Thanks!

Re: Making money during our time off

Thanks again for the ideas, guys! Somebody at my company told me some guys work overtime as their "hobby" and it's true, it's hard to make that kind of money doing something else. My ideal overtime would be during the week while the wife and kids are doing their own stuff rather than on the weekends...

Making money during our time off

Hello There was an interesting thread here a few months ago about hobbies pilots do on the their time off. I am looking for ideas to make money on my time off. I know some guys make money on the side doing non flying stuff, like gardening or snow removal and there's a few ads here looking for pilots...
