Dr. Magee was my CAME for 11 years until one year I tried to contact his office with no luck. That's when I realized that he finally decided to retire. I mean, last time I saw him, he must have already been in his 70s. The best doctor I ever knew in my life.

Re: New pay scale Aug 1 Dash and E2
With AC's pension plan(CWIPP) and stock buying/matching program(ESOP). You saved way more money at AC. Also don't forget benefits and insurance are 100% covered at AC. Like above already mention, YOS don't carry left to right nor from dash to E2 (unless you have more than 10yr on dash) Current CWIP...

Why would WS pilots consider AC and not the USA? Can't quite tell if you're being serious or sarcastic...? MrA My money is on not understanding the challenges of getting a green card. If only I could convince my wife to let me marry an American to "secure" our future... MrA

Re: Up to 300 new hires in 2022
 200 hours cadets? It looks like some mid career FOs from WS may be considering the move due to mismanagement at WS. Transat has lost some appeal due to long term stability and Porter hans't fired up it's Embraers yet. So I think the pool is still decent 705 experience, with some 3-4K 704....

Re: American Airlines, one of the world’s largest airlines, has announced plans to pay its pilots up to $590,000 per yea
The headline says $590k, but the story says $300k. Which is it? Both - the 300,000 is the increase for FO's. American is matching the new Delta deal with a 40% raise.... So By year 4, narrow body captain tops at $475,000, wide body captain $590,000 annually. https://twitter.com/cbs11doug/status/163...

Re: Pilot in waiting jobs situation
Pilot in waiting shouldn't even exist in today's hiring environment where everyone is short pilots... If the flow to the 705 is in theory continuous, I don't understand why 702/703 operators still have pilot in waiting There's no shortage of fresh off the flight school 250-hour pilots, never was. T...

Re: Electronic Logbook
Why don’t you run excel on your Mac then? Better yet, why didn't the seller just say to download Excel for Mac before purchasing the logbook on their website that clearly mentions "works with Numbers"? That's false advertising in my opinion. Not going to spend another $160 to get the Office suite f...

Re: Electronic Logbook
Bought one for PC some years ago and it worked great. Got one for my MacBook recently and it's pretty shit - the Excel formulae don't transfer well into Numbers on the Mac.

Oh ok , I guess I’ll throw my resume in the trash. Thanks for the update A medically fit pilot is a pilot, no matter the age. Re: IATRA benefits?
Well, you cannot operate multi-crew aircraft without IATRA or SARON/SAMRA. So yes, you absolutely need it unless you plan to instruct or do survey flying on a 172.

Many instructors have joined Porter over the years with only single-engine piston time as long as the total hours requirement was met.yowflyer23 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 11:52 am Would Porter hire you with only single engine turboprop time (i.e. PC-12, C208 SPIFR, etc) or is it necessary to get some MIFR time?
