Re: Flying Under a TS
Few thoughts for future study, as others have said I would be surprised if you saw much more than blue skies and a few nice puffy white clouds on your flight if GFA is accurate (they are usually conservative) Nice flying, just bumpy. My main concern flying under an active TS would be downdrafts and ...

Re: When you're "cleared" but not CLEAR. Multiple Incursions
JFK controllers are all over any pilot making the smallest error(or it seems that way on youtube) with their sarcastic remarks but no acknowledgement when they clear 4 aircraft to cross the runway while a pilot is taking off. And the controller *still* sounded annoyed... Fits the general theme thou...

Re: When you're "cleared" but not CLEAR. Multiple Incursions
 JFK one….pretty bad. This….Amateur hour. Those parallel YYZ runways have a well known incursion problem. I am surprised a jazz pilot who flies in and out of YYZ constantly, knowing this, would ever switch frequencies without being told, while clearing a runway and crossing another. Dangerous...

Re: Tough Decision Making
Have done a chunk of long SE flights at night. While peaceful, quiet (on the radio) and enjoyable, they are getting less appealing as I age.

Re: Why everyone runs to AC?
I decided to pursue a career as a pilot with Air Canada for several reasons. Firstly, the airline offers unparalleled job security and lifestyle flexibility, which are crucial considerations for any pilot. Moreover, the pension benefits provided by Air Canada are substantial; projections indicate t...

J31, point is I agree with you and others.
They had zero time to identify the problem and minimal instrument indications it seems.
Shitty and classless to dunk on them in any way shape or form. Sad outcome.

Re: Air France tailstrike
I’ve missed PDW.
Seriously, a friend of mine has flown all of the airbus product, he says the A340-600 is the most susceptible to tail strikes due to its length he has flown, think he meant on TO maybe….

Re: Metro 3 ( dangerous as they say it is )
With the left engine running at 98% N1 there is so much drag on the propeller that the only way out is to feather. It is not about VMC, it is about the massive drag. I have experienced this event several times in a full motion Jetstream simulator. It is a violent departure for controlled flight if ...

That would be true if the information posted was accurate… from what I’ve read from this smilin Jack character it’s not, he really isn’t being truthful with his comments Just because it’s on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true. Anyway against my better judgement I’ve wasted my time yet again on thi...
