J31, point is I agree with you and others.

They had zero time to identify the problem and minimal instrument indications it seems.

Shitty and classless to dunk on them in any way shape or form. Sad outcome.

Re: Air France tailstrike

I’ve missed PDW.

Seriously, a friend of mine has flown all of the airbus product, he says the A340-600 is the most susceptible to tail strikes due to its length he has flown, think he meant on TO maybe….

Re: Metro 3 ( dangerous as they say it is )

With the left engine running at 98% N1 there is so much drag on the propeller that the only way out is to feather. It is not about VMC, it is about the massive drag. I have experienced this event several times in a full motion Jetstream simulator. It is a violent departure for controlled flight if ...

That would be true if the information posted was accurate… from what I’ve read from this smilin Jack character it’s not, he really isn’t being truthful with his comments Just because it’s on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true. Anyway against my better judgement I’ve wasted my time yet again on thi...

Re: 152 Crash CEJ4 - August 29th

Its quite surprising the effects of altitude and temperature on low powered piston aircraft. It shouldn't be, because it's something students are taught about in ground school as well as during training. But, the intensity/effect learning factor is only going to be drilled home when it is experienc...

Re: 152 Crash CEJ4 - August 29th

Full rich mixture isn't going to give you "maximum" performance on takeoff at all, which is why you need to actually lean prior to takeoff in high density altitude situations in addition to taking off at airports a ways above sea level. Claresholm is located at roughly 3300' ASL - and the POH for t...

New interview by the CEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5YWV0wh3es That interview made me nervous. I feel like if the airline is profitable and you're asked "are you profitable?", you'd happily answer yes. If not, you'd give an answer like he just did. Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt

The thing is, Flair is in a unique situation, much different from the basic financial structure of the other failed small airlines. Simply put, they won't go under because they've run out of startup capital, the business will just continue to operate on a loss and 777 will continue to pay the bills...
