No, it's just that if a pilot is in the climb out in IMC conditions while accelerating they will possibly experience this illusion.

Re: AIRAF And AIRAT instructor exams

I studied all of the exams you were referring to. Know the first part of the FIG, read up on the TC Human Factors books (Basic, Advanced and Instructor) - focus on illusions, but get a general idea of the content in all three. "If a pilot in IMC is in an overshoot, what illusion will they experience...

2008 - How Many Hours Will You Log?

Spit out a number.... See if it's accurate by the end of the year.

I'm going to take a stab and say around 450.

Re: New Board

Looks good to me.

Some people haven't the foggiest idea of the work put into a change like this, let alone the maintenance of it - or the TIME it takes to finish.

I used this book when I studied for mine: http://airspeed-x.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=1 Heck, I'm still using it to study for my INRAT along with a few other things. Like to think of it as FTGU Gone Wild! Really solid book, and smokes another name that I cannot say. I ...

RBC is great for giving student line of credits. Their current rate is prime plus 1% (or 7%). All you need is proof of enrollment along with a cost breakdown for the course. You can likely open up a normal student chequing account to save on fees and transfer the funds back and forth within the same...

CASARA

I was just reading another thread that mentioned flying for CASARA. I contacted the London Unit a few months ago for a bit of information. Can anyone give me their first hand experiences with this association? Once I get my CPL finished (very very soon!) I wouldn't mind joining. Thanks in advance!

Canadian Professional Pilot Studies

Any of you have experience with the "Canadian Professional Pilot Studies" written by Phil Croucher? Thinking about buying a copy for my commercial and IATRA (in the future). Just wondering what you all think about it.

Does anyone really care if it's 15000 few, 18000 sct, 20000 sct, 21000 bkn, 23000 ovc. It's old but oh well... ...need to think about icing. If you enter one of those clouds in the few layer at 15000', and icing is forecasted at 15000', you may be in trouble. It's good to know where the clouds are.

Could also check out the Instrument Procedures Manual - just for a couple of questions, especially if you plan on getting your instrument rating in the future.
