Re: Porter Airlines shifts restart of flights date to June 29

This has more or less been debunked with what was the experiment done in Sweden. Nothing closed, minor distancing and their bell curve looks the same if not better than many countries who shut down. One could wonder if perhaps that's because they have a health care system that works. I refuse to us...

Re: Porter Airlines shifts restart of flights date to June 29

I wish someone came up with the numbers for, Car crashes Heart attacks Diabetes Other respiratory diseases Etc Etc Etc, all together. And then came up with a mediatized live score board for each condition/disease/risk of death. Maybe then, the idea of poverty and confiscated liberties in order to '...

   :prayer: No polygraph, but you should actually include an admission of guilt with your application. If you don't, during the "interview process" you will be given a heavy dose of sodium pentothal to determine the truth regarding your past misadventures in narcotics. The irony being...

What kind of experience would someone need to do well on a PPC for a Metro in your opinion?

Re: Perimeter Shamattawa

I'm have no idea how many here have actually experienced the metro as either a passenger or a pilot. I have been riding them for years and I must say likely the worst passenger experience one could endure and most of the issues are caused by the guy driving. I have survived landing where things are...

Re: Metroliner

I have a friend who went directly from right seat on a PC12 to right seat on an Embraer 170 to left seat on the Embraer 170 to Right seat on an Embraer 190 to left seat on an Embraer 190. He had literally 25 hours of multi time and moved to the right seat of the E170 in 2013. In fact I know several...

The real question is: do you have a choice? PC12 I'll be the contrarian here and say Pc12. I don't think anyone really cares very much how much right seat multi turbine vs right seat single turbine time you have. However, they might be interested to see that you have some experience dealing with au...

Also to add, it doesn't matter what we debate, the fact is that those are the things the airlines are looking for... and jet or 705 experience. Right or wrong, PC12 time ranks slightly higher than Cessna 172 time, maybe in par with the C208 guy, and certainly lower than a Turbo-Beaver on floats... ...

It’ll teach you how to trim thats for sure. Tends to be a bit pitchy from what i know. Its gonna be fast at first. Drinking from the firehose as they say. You will fall behind from time to time. A good training program/ good captains can help you through it. Wouldn't worry too much about it. Good s...

Thank you guys for all the comments about the Sweatro (loved all the names for this girl Altiplano) Don’t forget my personal favourite, the Turbo Dildo. There are decent and some not so decent operators of the Metro out there.
Thanks.

I was wondering about passing the PPC first. First turbine and two crew.

Any inputs are appreciated.

Less then 30k a year, max duty days and they want something like over 700 hours for the FO gig... I think they've re-posted the job ad at least 5-6 times in the last 2 years. Less than 30k a year? For real? Last year the gig was: very early check in at yhm, you help unload the plane at your destina...
