Dude you need to check out Keith Dámelo. Big jets, small jets, space shuttle...doesn't matter, he'll give you all you need.

Buddy if you have the money to fly your own airplane (ifr machine, trips to Oshkosh, etc, etc...) then just keep flying for fun! Keep doing whatever you're doing to pay for it. It sounds more fun and profitable then a career in aviation!

Re: Corporate jets are a climate nightmare

This is my favourite one to date lol https://toronto.citynews.ca/2022/07/27/drake-14-minute-flight-toronto-hamilton-private-jet/ It is funny that HE thought the justification for not flying on it, or no one actually uses the jet on that leg would go over well with the public. I get it, no one I kno...

Good evening fellow cloud surfers Currently a class 3 Flight instructor Mifr 650+ hours looking to switch over to a 703/704 Op. ( flight school is shutting down in a couple months ) Question is : what are some good companies out there ? schedule wise, life conditions wise ( obviously every company ...

Re: Take home

Does anyone know if this payscale has changed at all? Thanks. Yes. FO salaries have done down. Hourly rates have gone up but the monthly guarantee has gone down. Works out to 42.2K, 46.2K and 53.8K for years 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Captain salary basically unchanged or slightly improved. Oh wow :s...

That's base salary.
You can opt out of benefits. You can opt out if RRSP match.
3$/hr perdiem away from base.
So... whatever Ont. Taxes are... there's your take home
Does that help?

Re: So everyone is leaving?

No they aren’t. Maybe they are in your sector. I know I wouldn’t trade places with most (but not all) of my American counterparts. That’s not to say that there aren’t low paid pilots in Canada, but that isn’t a rule, just like it isn’t a rule that pilots uniformly make better money elsewhere. I’ve ...

Re: Typical sched

…there is never really a typical sched as it’s all seniority and preference driven. With 12 guaranteed days off, and a mix of single day, 2/3/4 day pairings if you like being home and can hold those pairings…great. Some like splits (2 flights, late evening returning early next morning, so full day ...

Re: Typical sched

I've noticed quite a few of the airplanes doing 6 legs per day (please correct me if that's inaccurate). I was wondering if that's normally done with the same crew - resulting in max duty days. I'm honestly not familiarized with 705 operations and I'm just trying to understand the potential workload...

Re: Highest Paid Corporate pilots in Canada?

Can't compare Flexjet to Air Sprint... Flexjet is one of the best paying fractional operator if not the best... There are plenty of corporate pilots in the USA that don't even come close to those salaries. And the fact they get paid in US dollar is irrelevant too... are you going to compare Canadia...

I wonder if they'd be more interested in a 1000hr guy with multi crew, turbine etc, etc. Or in a 1500hr flight instructor.
