Re: Jazz Recalls?

That’s funny that you think I’d give up my DB pension for your DC pension It’s neither here nor there or relevant to this thread but if I recall correctly at least your last PFO if not the last couple came well after the pension switch. You guys make it real hard to have any kind of sympathy for yo...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

The company will do what it needs to for survival, you cannot justify the current capacity on some of those routes using mainline (and in the near future rouge) equipment. On the other hand, ACPA will do what it needs to for optics. They need to ensure that a precedent is set that ANY contract viol...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

Sky Regional flying counts as mainline flying, it’s written in your contract that way, brilliant. Anyhow, time will tell but I won’t lose any sleep over it I’m not sure where you got that nugget of fake news but you are wrong. Sky’s flying is covered in the same article as the rest of the third par...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

This slope you’re on has some slippery ramifications, when unions start fighting for their piece of the pie, you can bet some 100s would be added to the fleet, you’re dreaming if you think otherwise. Lol I think your the one dreaming on that big man. Ill take that bet any day of the week. Im sorry ...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

Not sure where I said anything about “bad people”. We all have a stake in this and need to make sure that the things within our control are on track to help get things back towards normal and to get all of our colleagues back to work no matter what airline they work for. NO ONE’S stake in this is a...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

It should be easy for all of us to agree that this is economically the worst time in the history of the airline (and just about every other) industry. At the end of July, the Canadian Press reported that Air Canada lost almost $20 million per DAY through April, May and June, based on the company re...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

Hard times make hard men, soft times makes soft men. We have had a long time with soft times..i see the product from some people in this thread. Lol what’s are your babbling about? This is about contract enforcement, nothing else. “Hard men” never got anywhere from giving shit away for free. I get ...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

The level of garbage on this thread make me sick. ALL I see is scared little boys and girls trying to grab as much as they can. If only pilots could work together instead of against each other. No wonder we are all underpaid. This is a grievance between ACPA pilots and their employer, not pilot vs ...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

I know Jazz was no where near the max ratio before COVID and I know we have deferred delivery of some 900s until next year so I don’t think a grievance would have any merit Not quite chief. “1.10.02.01.02 On an exceptional basis, and notwithstanding the Small Jets Settlement Agreement of Mr. Martin...

Im a big AC guy but your probably going to have to eat those words about bankruptcy in 10-12 months unless things start to change in a big hurry.

Re: How to get rid of ACPA?

The results of the third phase survey just came out and it looks like those looking for a change are a small minority. Also, looks like pilot sentiment is to avoid negotiating a new contract so no open period for a raid. The AC forum is clearly a place for the lunatics to feel a sense of belonging....

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share

I remember the EU halted the probe for a bit earlier this summer, pending some missing information/documents. Has it resumed the probe? The probe has not resumed according to the EU commission competition website and Calin on the Q2 conference call. https://ec.europa.eu/competition/elojade/isef/cas...

Re: How to get rid of ACPA?

So ALPA westjet was unable to block Swoop taking over Mainline routes and moving into YYZ soon.... and you still think Air Canada wants them? I promise you 90% of AC pilots dont want a change to "Magic" ALPA. Truth is AC should have a vote and put this whole thing to rest. Agreed, there is a forum ...

Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights

Shark; I honestly have never dreamt of wearing the AC uniform. If I wanted to look for the apparent prestige of working for a major airline, AC would’t even be on my wish list; and they offer nothing exceptional that would have made a huge difference in my current lifestyle imho (btw Transat is sti...

Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights

Let it go man, your lifelong dream of wearing the AC uniform is dead. What’s clear is AC is running out the clock to when they can stick a fork in this deal. Good luck :goodman: Shark; I honestly have never dreamt of wearing the AC uniform. If I wanted to look for the apparent prestige of working f...

Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights

It’s pretty clear now that AC will still buy Transat (at a discount renegotiated price); they won’t miss this great opportunity. Unfortunately for us - and for you - it will be very painfull (especially when we read how desunionized your group is). Good luck.🍀 Let it go man, your lifelong dream of ...

Re: Duty of Fair Representation (DFR)

That m you Mr.Hall, I believe a lot of pilots think that if a union makes any decision or picks a direction that impacts an individual negatively that the union is now open for a DFR complaint. I’ve heard people talk about it literally hundreds of times and it’s always a non starter. I have only see...

Re: YYC Free!! Experienced Co-Pilot!

Free! Worth what you pay for it! I agree that the post is sort of in poor taste given the timing but do you honestly think that there is no value in flying around with an experienced professional pilot even if only to experience a different perspective? This isn’t 200 hour Timmy we are talking abou...
