Re: ACPA vs ALPA
It is actually old old news. ALPA never supported them. the lawsuit is out of pocket of those involved from the AO group.

Re: Latest from Jazz
There may not be any lay-offs if a bunch of guys bail but depending on their seniority, there will most definately be downgrades.

Re: JAZZ sold?
Problem is there are too many that feel they are entitled to something more... Gotta wonder how important this travel thing really is to ACPA. How much of your barganing power are you guys willing to use up on this? I would laugh my a$$ off if ACPA won travel priority and were able to commmute 1st i...

Re: AC's future
I'm a french canadian and as far as I know we are a country with 2 official languages. So, the english peoples like you should pay if they want training in english, now everything will be in french. Is that make any sense ??? That makes about as much sense as your english does! I should thank you t...

Re: AC's future
I wonder what would happen if AC told the Gov't to shove it up their a$$. Want french? Fine, you pay for the printing and training. Want small town coverage? Fine, you top us up to make the route profitable. In reality, what could the gov't do? If AC really stood up and said "we are not a crown comp...

Re: Richard Milton Leaving
Was AC restructured to move into the future or was it done so Milton could take a pile of cash and say "later bitches"?

Re: Jazz managment
The FA's at Jazz are especially angry these days due to a french thingy that is going on and Jazz busting seniority over it. Rhumour has it, July is going to be a work to rule month for the FAs

Re: JAZZ sold?
Tony, you talk about commuters losing out on mainline and things going back to the old way being better for the AC pilots. I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that your view might be bit one sided as you mentioned you commute from overseas. Mainline flights tend to serve the bigger cities, so...

Re: Dear JAZZ letter
Having worked on a few of their 8's lately and having to deal with a few of their "captains" I wish you good luck . Show me the humour and irony in this post. As for your "john Deer" letter, where is the irony? Sounds to me like you have been listening to Allanis Morisette too much. Her song "IRONI...

Re: Dear JAZZ letter
My problem is people such as dashx spouting off about Jazz when they don't even work here. I somehow doubt that his intent was to simply come on here and thank Jazz for not hiring him. His post in another thread was putting down Jazz planes and their Captain's. Soon as someone calls him on it, he pl...

Re: I always wondered
Regardless of WHY the GS failed, it has failed and we will now have to live with whatever implications this may have for either side. My guess is there will be a threat by AC to both the mother ship and baby ship with regards to flying. With rising oil costs and slowing economy, the company will hav...

Re: Dear JAZZ letter
Judging by the fact that you have made two posts regarding JAZZ in a very short period of time makes me wonder how happy you really are. Let's face it, if it did not bother you, you wouldn't be saying anything at all because life would be good and JAZZ would be a non issue. What happened ACE, you ge...

Re: Looking For Advice
Contact ALPA and see if their legal department has any advice. They are there to help pilots out.
Signing those things is usually done under duress.
Good Luck!!!

Re: I always wondered
BCFlyer the question still remains, why does someone from Jazz get any deal at AC? Attempting to justify is irrelevant, they are seperate companies and right now all new hires at AC are not treated equally. I think OTS pilots would have a good case if they were to challenge that outdated LOU. This ...

Re: Jazz to AC
You better read this quick before your mommy finds out you are out of bed endless. I am not hard done by. I have never applied. Frankly, I could give a shit about the hiring practises at mainline. I just wanted to set the record straight for SS because he was sounding so down being an off the street...

Re: Jazz to AC
Was I wrong in saying GGN did not take a pay cut alongside the mainline guys? No, you just proved. GGN, the company ate the CPA re-negots and the guys that were flying there chose a B scale pay. To me, that means they did not suffer a pay cut, just the new hires. As for scope, GGN is not scoped by m...

Re: Jazz to AC
Hey stick-shaker, are you done whinning yet? The so-called leap-frog you whine about does not exist. Those pilots were hired with that seniority and the only reason they were not occupying the seat was because of an agreement that was made up without the pilot's input. They were held back out of AC ...
