Re: Vaccinated people told not to travel in Spain and Russia
I’ve got all the vaccines growing up and the required boosters. How pilots who have to upkeep a medical have elected to volunteer for an emergency use vaccine, with its side effects to be seen, is beyond the definition of gambling to me. And when you ask most of them, it’s all on a speculation that ...

Except get a Masters degree in Economics but I guess we won't talk about that. We can talk about it, sure. Justin Trudeau has a B.A. and a B.Ed. Christina Freeland has a Masters degree. Carolyn Bennet is a doctor. Dominic Leblanc has a Masters degree in laws from Harvard Law School. Jean-Yvette Duc...

Re: United Airlines hiring goals
I've flown with a lot of white pilots that sucked, as well as some black pilots who taught me something. Get the visible minority to apply and give him/her/he-she a fair shot, but for the love of God, if the white man knows his shit, hire him too. There's nothing that breeds systemic racism more tha...

Re: Transat revenues drop by 99%, with 2,000 layoffs expected
L oh Fucking L I know, I chuckled at that too as I typed it. I had to put it in to see if anyone would catch the sarcasm. Good Job, lol. While I don't think DOH, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Jazz/Ac consolidation somewhere down the line if ALPA represents AC pilots eventually. ALPA pilots ...

My opinion? Bailout before April 19 Transat acquired by AC. Alpa representation vote wins after the merger Alpa in house at jazz and ac Common employer by 2025 Jazz DOH merger and buyout of senior guys to protect widebody captains at AC Flat pay removed at AC because ts CUMULATIVE years salary is s...

Re: Overtime available
When the system is fucked right from your new hire practices, and flat pay, are you actually surprised when shit like this happens? Like someone said, if not this guy, then the next one would do it without a doubt. Heck, the guy above me is already saying he's furloughed, so if he has an opportunity...

Re: Transat revenues drop by 99%, with 2,000 layoffs expected
Everyone has a version they want this to go. I prefer to stay separate, as I think AC has an interesting road to recovery as is because of the 60% business diversity the company is vested in. The pilot group seems more bitter than ever, I can’t imagine those conversations being pleasant in the fligh...

hahah that was a good one.simply_no_one wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:46 pmBased on my experience understanding the average intelligence of Canadians, and pilots (who often pretend they are very smart when in fact they are not) I would say... No.

Re: Air Canada Revises the Terms of its Capacity Purchase Agreement with Chorus Aviation for Regional Flying
So what does this mean? If you're a 20 some year old First Officer at Jazz, upset by the integration of 280 some sky regional pilot's, understand that you'd probably not even be on a seniority list with 90% chance of going to AC as little as just 5 years ago. This right here is what needs to change...

Re: Air Canada Revises the Terms of its Capacity Purchase Agreement with Chorus Aviation for Regional Flying
Who do they think they are? They think(know) they are Jazz pilots who have been there from 1 to 10 years who will now lose seniority during the worst time our industry has ever seen. Any of those juniors under 2 years have only seen their seniority decrease. Times have changed and this is a step fo...

I hope the Sky pilots realize how lucky they are. And if i hear one negative comment outta of them about Jazz i swear ...... Re: Air Canada Revises the Terms of its Capacity Purchase Agreement with Chorus Aviation for Regional Flying
Sky pilots decided to join ALPA so that if a day like this turned out, they were united with their counterparts next door. Looks like they’re being rewarded for that decision back in 2016 to join ALPA. I call them smart, not lucky. SKV pilots joined ALPA in November 2018. Correct, typo. Thanks!

Re: Air Canada Revises the Terms of its Capacity Purchase Agreement with Chorus Aviation for Regional Flying
Sky pilots going to AC BOTL, that would upset a lot of Jazz pilot's more than integration I bet. Heck why not? Sky pilot's are basically Air Canada, at half the wages. Unlike jazz, they already deal with AC flight plans, dispatch, socc, gate agents, etc. I'm sure a differences course/initial course ...

I don’t know how the Jazz MEC could possibly manage to not extract gains from this. You guys have them by the stones. I don’t care what Claude says AC wants to consolidate, it’s a done deal and you guys hold the keys to getting it that last mile. Good luck. Precisely - this is the exact moment Clau...

100% of Jazz interviews, if not 99.9% (to give ac control), successful at AC, heck have AC involved in the hiring process at Jazz, it's not rocket science. Heck, they own part of CHR, so it wouldn't even be an HR issue. 70% of AC ground schools are Jazz Bump FO Pay at Jazz to match Sky Give the seni...

Re: AC/TRZ Transaction Approved by TC - $5 per Share
With the EU approval delayed (again), date of corporate closing (DCC) will be pushed out to the April-July 2021 time frame. By year end, the merger and a COVID impacted schedule will combine for a surplus of around 900 pilots (600/300 respectively). Recovery, displacement, and training will take 18...
