Re: WestJet VS CargoJet
While being Captain isn’t everything that has to factor into the equation. How long to a left seat for those hired today? 15 years? That right seat is going to feel uncomfortable after a decade. If you're putting upgrade times over longterm income and quality of life, then Cargojet is the obvious c...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
Sorry the article was behind a paywall. Here it is About 55,000 staff at EY’s US operations woke on Tuesday to find the wages they were paid on Friday had disappeared from their bank accounts after an error by the accounting firm’s payroll provider ADP. The Big Four firm said ADP had “erroneously r...

Re: 1200TT pilot with jet time advice
Go to a northern operator, get some bush time and wait your turn. Too many of your type in the industry who think they’re entitled. You're telling them to wait their turn... Meanwhile you're stuck on Kingairs with thousands of hours unable to land a 705 job of your own. Sounds like you've got a lot...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
It's no rumour. We are losing people like crazy. Those that are left behind have stopped answering the phone when crew sched calls. Double time just doesn't have the same appeal any more and the company seems to think it's better to cancel flights than to offer triple time. A full PVR turn was just...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
I’m curious why most post they’ll feel bad if flair goes bust. Maybe I’m to black and white but my thoughts are your working for a company not servicing debt at current ticket prices undercutting legitimate airlines and associated employees. Bye It doesn't matter what I think of Flair as a business...

Making a joke like this at the expense of the many fellow pilots that work there, whose careers hinge on their success tells me exactly what kind of person you are. You're a real winner boeingboy. Grow up Anyone who continues to work at Flair has seen the warning signs for well over a year now. If ...

They do own spare parts..... Re: Invites for 2024 GS?
What will be interesting is after the merger the low time Sunwing guys that I’ve heard they’ve been hiring a lot of lately will likely not be able to fly at WJ. Perhaps the plan will be to offer them a position at Encore, and hence solve some of Encore’s staffing issues (for FOs anyway). I can’t se...

Re: Reserve out of base
That’s ridiculous yes. But do you really think posting the internal issues of your airline on a public forum is the most appropriate or professional thing to do ? If you aren't happy with how things are being run, absolutely you should share these experiences!!! No one who is happy at their company...

Me thinks either you have an infamous name in the industry or you come off clearly during an intervi...

I hope they investigate the bot users. Imagine using bots, and then not being able to so much as drop a pairing for a couple years... Or ever? What you get is what you work. Karma.

Unless you are working or have worked at WestJet over the past few years, you have no idea how significant the gains were in the recent contract. Money was a relatively small part of it.

Re: SkyLink pilot union takes pay cut & b scale
Honestly, what type of pilot is taking a job at SkyLink in today's hiring market? I feel the same way about pilots who work at SkyLink as I do about those who stayed on with "Pivot" after Air Georgian closed up shop - that is to say, there has to be something significantly wrong with either your pe...

I wouldn't necessarily change airports for that specific reason.
You will have lots of opportunity to fly into controlled airspace during your time building.
