Re: YYZ RJ landing Accident

Wow. Just saw the video of the crash in YYZ. The pilot did not flare at all. Saw the plane crash land on the runway. No inputs whatsoever on the ailerons. Plane just started to slide off the runway and flipped. Crazy. I can't share the video sorry. *edit by Sulako to remove dumb speculation and poss...

Re: Yr 1 FO $130k

Boys and gals get ready. Good things are coming. In a recent board meeting it was unanimously decided that the management understands how pathetic the WAWCON are at AC and are willing to take it to the next level. They want AC to be competitive and want to invest in the pilots. Expect $130k year 1 ...

Re: Timing the cycle

Flatpayers had a choice. Not really victims. I would wager every pilot over the last 20 years took a paycut to join AC. Anyone who passes on arguably the most lucrative career in the country because of low pay in the first 4 years of a 30-35 year career doesn’t understand basic math. Voting with yo...

Re: The "Yes" side will be full of regret

The union did not recommend this deal Full Stop They are looking for more ammo to tell the corp to come back with more by showing the membership has high expectations That is not at all the position the union has. I have talked to my rep, perhaps you should talk to yours (so long as they don't alre...

Wow, the narrative changed fast. From "we have a good leverage due to the company to have difficulty on the training side, so they re gonna come back with ta better offer" to that...ahah hilarious, I guess you re now ready to work for a union ;). Just move on kid, you'll thank us in a couple years ...

Stop spreading fear my dude, that deal offer is atrocious and you know it. Can't even believe ACPA agreed to it in the first place, they really think we're fools.

Re: Parlez vous le 'spy talk'?

Good morning C&P. No I'm not mad at all. I find the latest QC language tempest in a teapot somewhat amusing watching the "pure woolies" (thanks Mordechai Richler) get wound so tight when their 16th century dialect is not spoken when they think it should be and they are somewhat tyrannical about maki...

Re: Parlez vous le 'spy talk'?

I note that on many job applications for federal positions or federally regulated companies there is often a box about French and the ability to speak it (or not). It gets you more points from the HR people. Clearly it really isn't a requirement after all. I know I only used mine 3 times in the RCA...

Doesn't help that it's impossible for people to get scheduled with a LC for PICUS, and people are loosing PICUS they had done already because of time limits. Oh, noes! Losing F/O time, as opposed to real PIC that 'they' can't take away from you.. :goodman: I still think 705 multi-crew operation FO ...

Re: Think carefully before you make your next move

AC just announced today the repatriation of a lot of Express routes. With this agreement we would be securing work for seventeen years. At the same time AC has shown their willingness to take flying back. With the addition of the C-Series I think it's a very possible chance if we don't do this deal...
