Pilots are selfish....

So, we work hard for our jobs, or careers, but does that make us selfish to expect other people to plan around our lives? IE: better halves? Enlighten me before i go insane.

Cockpit light failure at 1:00 am, and a couple of hung starts; oh, and an engine failure in a buck 52, without incident. ( got it started again )

I found my first ever captain ride to be the hardest and busiest ride i've done thus far...It didnt go as planned either...But it gives me time as previously said to sharpen the skills that I lacked during the time. Thank god for the sim!

That is exactly what I am talking about. The ultimate dream back then, has changed dramatically, to the point now where I could not care less if i ever got behind the stick of an Airbus or a Boeing. Job security, pay cuts, not knowing if your pention will be there once you retire???? I dont think it...
