IF: There was an engine failure.
There is an "Engine Out Complex Special" departure.
I can't imagine a single pilot operation going thru these
9 steps during an emergency operation.

Re: Air Canada jazz pilots hours
The airlines I am familiar with do not allow newspapers in the cockpit. The people who have decided this are more expert in the field than I am and even possibly more than you. There is a good presentation in the new ground school on this subject by the head of iSMS. I suggest you could argue the po...

Re: Air Canada jazz pilots hours
Inverted2 & duckfoot Do you think the company pays you to sit up front and read the newspaper? Do you think that the paying passengers in the back might expect a little more professionalism from you? We have stalled 5 airplanes already by having pilots in the cockpit that think as you do. Stop whini...

So Birddog, while these two "empty heads" are touring the world in a Global Express you are doing ..???? It's very unlikely that you will ever achieve in your life time a fraction of what these two have already accomplished.

Re: The life of a "New Hire"
"Nothing has changed, except that under the last point, ACPA was protecting the senior pilots from an Air Ontario pilots lawsuit."
Why should new hires, or anyone else not involved, have to finance ACPA to defend a lawsuit they were never party to?

bc Flyer wrote "LARGEST aircraft at Jazz 75 seats...SMALLEST aircraft at Westjet 119 seats."
SMALLEST seat at Jazz = LARGEST seat at Westjet
LARGEST seat at Jazz = NOTHING to compare.
To quote Tony " Apples and Oranges"

You had better cash in your options BEFORE you get legislated back to work as the shares will pop when that news comes out.

Do not use Canada and the Parliment of Canada in the same context. Even in your quote(which is very outdated) they refer to the PARLIMENT of CANADA and its federal courts. Try demanding service in Fench at the local Petro-Can in downtown Kitchener! You can, however, demand it in the courthouse. That...
