You're not crazy. The site has been running like crap. Maybe it's crumbling under the weight of all the ads

Re: 704 CA or 705 FO ?
You meet the minimums for Westjet, Flair and Porter on the jet already. A 737 or Embraer type rating is nice to have but if the right 704 job comes up in Vancouver, that's a nice place to be until AC calls you back.

Re: List of lower end of bond & training agreement amounts
What is this list? Hopes and dreams? What bonds should be in a just and fair world?
Most of the EIC companies have bonds on their planes, most King Air operators bond their employees as well.

Re: PAL Q
You bid your schedule, but yytfo listed it all accurately. You can be home every night if you want to bid that way. Captains occasionally get called in to YUL to cover some flying (mostly on the 300) Vibes are generally good in YYT at least, I couldn't speak to the other bases. Pay isn't enough to k...

Re: First Pilot job 2024 Fresh CPL
Get your IATRA finished and the options open up a lot for you. Montreal has a bunch of options as well if you don't want to move away. Air Liaison, Chrono, PAL, Flightpath (and other corporate operators), Jazz, and Nolinor all have bases there and will take low time guys. But don't those have super...

Can we just pay the Yanks to have ADDS in Canada? It's so much better.

If I've learned anything about Canadian aviation, it's that you should get used to disappointment.TFTMB heavy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 10:56 amI wouldn't hold my breath on that happening that soon.

Re: Job Outlook for flight dispatchers
It's not a glamorous job so I'm not sure why you'd really want to get into the job. Have you considered ATC? Depends on where you work. I have a friend who dispatches at Air Canada and it seems like a pretty good job that pays well. If you’re dispatching for Pat and Flo in YQX then not so much. 😂 S...

A whack of math questions without a calculator, hand and eye coordination using a joystick and pedals, a part that is basically SkiFree, simple memory test with a set of numbers.

Re: Corporate operators with more competitive vacation
It's a tough thing to nail down as it all depends on the operator. My corporate job only gave two weeks vacation but the plane was usually down for 3-4 for annual every year. Plus I probably had about 20 weeks off over the course of the year if we weren't flying, it's not technically vacation as I c...

Re: Pilot interview questions
You might get a couple IFR questions like tell me about approach bans and takeoff minimums. The rest will most likely be personality based questions such as, tell me about a time you disagreed with an instructor/coworker/boss, how did you deal with it? What's your strengths and weaknesses? Spend ten...

Another vote for Cornwall. You'll get it done in a couple weeks, they can also provide a bedroom in the crackhouse for cheap.
