Re: Hiring?
What about WB flying? How many years to the FO spot on WB? How long does it normally take to upgrade?

Re: What's your suggestion about training?
If you're really good you can get it done for those prices. However I would plan for $80K and if you do it for less than great! Your biggest problem is going to be finding a right to work in Canada. Have you thought about how you're going to do that? I'm thinking about the provincial nominee progra...

What's your suggestion about training?
Hi guys, The time is running... I'm 18 y. old guy who wanna come to Canada for training. I consider Manitoba as one of the best places for training at least for me. So the price for that is 55K$(PPL, IR, ME, CPL). What I'm planning to do after is to take instructor rating for another 10K$. Totally i...

Medical wrong address
HI guys!
More than 3 weeks I passed a medical examination and unfortunately made a mistake in the address line. I don't live in Canada and for finding this letter from Canada I need a tracking number as I think(Jesus) from TCCA. What can I do about it? Or just call my CAME?
Best regards!

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
Go to Seneca College its less than 85k including accommodation and you get a degree in aviation plus a Frozen ATPL and a MCC on CRJ-200, not to mention that they got a cadet program with jazz, georgian and sunwing Thanks for your reply! So maybe Seneca is good but I think flying on 703 somewhere in ...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
frye189 :goodman: Best advice I can give you, Do more research, be as objective as you can, think long term, and more research. This is all good stuff for example: The options in Easter Europe are quite amazing. Wizzair, Air Baltic, even Aeroflot is hiring like mad. Look at PPC (Pilot Career Center...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
They are not, maybe for a certain group of people. The majority of the public prefers flying legacy carriers for many reasons. Options, schedule, comfort, connections, etc. So if you're Russian, one of the things I would do is look into Baltic Aviation Academy. They have a pretty good school there ...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
So, getting back on topic. The kid is probably better off in his own country, because he'll have more opportunities there, not to mention the fact that he'll understand the culture better. I had a hell of a time fitting in here and I've seen a lot the world before moving to Canada. I'm not sure whe...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
On a side note, I'm interested to see how hiring straight from flying school will pan out in Canada. For example the ATPL's theory over there is quite extensive. Nothing to compare with here. I guess that's their way to "Compensate" for the lack of flying experience you can get before reaching the ...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
Off topic, sorry... I'd say it IS becoming more and more common now. For example, some of the last Jazz ground schools, there were quite a handful in each GS that were fresh college graduates having flown nothing outside a cessna and light twin. If not, they're at least skipping the 703 stage, inst...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
Your attitude is very condescending. You're speaking as if you have thousands of hours flying heavy jets and you're just "not sure where to go". A lot of us, Canadian pilots or immigrants to Canada (such as myself), worked and keep working very hard to get to fly an A320. Canada is not like Europe,...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
You know Yellowknife isn't a really big problem or even somewhere in Nunavut on something like Cessna Caravan or even DC-3(sorry if I wrote something bad, any type). I won't be ashamed. I know how -40C or even -50 looks like, that's why Canada. Nobody ain't talking about Vancouver or Toronto with 3...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
Another kid that plays too much Flight Simulator... I don't even know why I'm answering this. Son, you should aim for the Emirates Cadet Program. They'll hire you as a direct entry F/O on the A380. Why bother with shitty Q400s and A320s?... They pay well and give you a hat! Thanks a lot for your an...

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
Well if you have 85k in euros to spend I would say try the Canadian route as you'll gain much more experience and work your way up to the larger aircraft. There seems to be allot of concern right now about people going straight to large jets without more than 1000 total time experience. Thank you v...

Where to go? To Europe or to Canada
Hello, guys! So at that moment, I don't exactly know where to go. I have an opportunity to study in Europe and fly after training on A320 . It will cost nearly 85K euros (ATPL integrated and TR). However, I'm thinking all the time about Canada. I'm not Canadian currently that's why I worry. What do ...
