Re: Tower closure predictions?

Has there ever been a case of a LOS review where a unit was not downgraded or closed? Seems to me this process is a lot like the HIRA. I believe Windsor underwent an LOS review in the late 90's that was unsuccessful and another in the 2000's that started but was never officially completed. Not sure...

Re: Regional Airline Pilot to IFR Controller, worth the switch?

Some good answers but I just want to chime in and say at the very least you may as well start the application process now. Even if you're still unsure, the process to even just get on course can be long and even with your flying background and a basic understanding of ATC, it still takes a bit of lu...

Re: YYZ Assessments

Ssauvage87 - When you say you got an invite to the April 5th Assessment for a Fall 2018 course, are you assuming the April 5th Assessment candidates will be invited to the Fall 2018 courses? Just to clarify, from what I've understood from these posts, the May 2017 Assessment writers have been invit...

Re: YWG Phone Interview

Look around here for more info on the interviews. There's tons of stuff available and check out redddit.com/r/atc and do some searching there as well. Behavioral type questions like you already looked into as well as some general knowledge about Nav Canada as a company. What they do, their customers...

Re: Vfr

If you're steamed VFR you can only get an offer for VFR or FSS. IFR has.the potential to get any of the 3. I was streamed IFR recently and got a VFR course offer. Slightly disappointed at first but now I'm totally okay with it and infact maybe even happier I got VFR. Cheers and good luck ! What fir ...

Re: Any updates on YYZ Training

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine you can still be called so long as your profile is still active. I would imagine that once you're called and made an offer, the 18 months is irrelevant.

(how I would assume it works ...)

Re: Any updates on YYZ Training

I believe the calls have been made for the upcoming courses for YYZ. I am on standby for the VFR course and I know of others who have also been called. This was about a week ago. Not sure if they are making any more or if everything has been filled.

Good luck!

In the last contract the union and the company announced the "Tower Progression Program". Re: Can't login. Database down?

Are you trying to sign onto takecharge and getting a wrong password error? Thats what I'm getting as of today randomly.

And yeah the W-sim is just a couple pages with some questions. If you can answer them all and it makes sense, you should be good for the assessment.

In-person interview questions (Nav Canada)

I've finally got my interview lined up abd I'm trying to prepare the best I can. I was hoping some nav can guys around here might remember some if the questions or scenarios they we're asked during their interview ! What should I know about each of the 3 streams ? Other than the obvious radar vs vis...
