Re: Flair Hiring B737 FO's

Sounds like a bad rumour.

The only "bond" I had seen was that they no longer accept LOA's and want to see your resignation. I was willing to provided 2.5 years (min), and that wasn't sufficient.

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

At the end of the day, it is nice to see fair level headed representation on both ends. It is also nice(?) to see that both lists are as dirty as Bill Clinton disregarding all sexual relations with Monica.

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

From what you are quoting, Contracts are contracts. Literature is literature. Words are words. Technicalities are technicalities. and to go full circle, Contracts are Contracts. How can you argue the language? It had intent at one point in time for a reason? This is the first part of the PTA. It cr...

How many days worked?

Honestly. How many days are the 737 guys working? What are you average legs? It seems they use the 37 as a regional jet. Are you guys slagging it out with the odd good trip? Working 10 days a month? 787 guys. Are you one and done......but laying over for a few days? What is the honest days work? 4 d...

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

Perhaps I am being too hard on ALPA. They tell us to KNOW THE CONTRACT...maybe the confusion of the wording was just accidental and then people assumed what the words said. From what you are quoting, Contracts are contracts. Literature is literature. Words are words. Technicalities are technicaliti...

Similar to us. I can't tell you why we don't have access to ours.

Can we join Unifor?
After dealing with that goof/dirty POS Snow, trust me.....you don't want dirty UNIFOR!

At the end of the day, a List is ideal and not much to ask for.

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

The list created by the PTA is called "Seniority List" and available on the iPad and used by the Company to award positions/recalls/layoffs etc, but it shouldn't be. Seniority is only based on the PSL, which we haven't seen in two years. The Association maintains the "Seniority List", but this list...

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

What makes you so entitled to think you should go ahead of an Encore pilot who gave years to the company workijg 18-20 days and you got hired years later? It’s not a punishment. It was something you agreed to. If you’re so unhappy, AC just opened their applications. There was no reserve. Encore pil...

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

I really do appreciate your input as of late on the topic. I did some nerding/history on your posts and you point blank called the merger and called how messy it would be. I appreciate the incite into my (our) future. Not that anyone has a real clue what the arbitrator answer will be, but I apprecia...

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

I have no skin in the game but wasn’t Sunwing hiring 250 hour cadets right onto the 37 before anyone even thought that would be a possibility? I realize that’s not every FO at Sunwing by any means but it’s ironic to call out an encore Q FO right out of school which as far as I know they made a hiri...

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

No mention that the Sunwing Travel Group is a $3B revenue company. There is no rescuing. No parachute parent. No angel investor. This is purely a business transaction to expand, not rescue. Quite frankly it all adds up and makes sense.

Re: Sunwing/Westjet

I don’t understand how you think DOH is unfair or unreasonable. Why is your time at Sunwing so much more valuable than the WS pilots time there? This is a mainline buying a financial unstable charter outfit. I think a strong argument can be made to the arbitrator that improvements to the Sunwing pi...

Re: DEC Westjet Swoop

What is PTA? I understand that the WS/WO list is not DOH, that being said I don't know how it was/is compiled. Just trying to figure out how encore play into the mix as well. I thought that the "one list" was exactly that. One seniority list.

Re: New Bases

Where are the bulk of the Feb/March new hires planned to be based? Is YKF a desirable base?

I understand this may be a difficult question to answer given base bids/seniority. That being said, I assume there is an idea where the tails/network expansion will be based around.

I appreciate the comment, but the question still stands

This is more so for my own enjoyment and to better organize myself when teaching type familiarization. I'm not exactly seeking out an instructor rating anywhere in the near future.

Lesson Plans

Does anyone have any templates (individual or whole) for the instructor rating?

I'm not sure what all is required of a candidate to have prepared. Pre-flight brief plans, air lesson plans, post flight, etc. A template for 1 lesson start to finish would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 737 Max Headsets

I will be new to the 737 scene. I'm thinking about buying a Clarity Aloft headset. I've read that some guys are saying the headband/neckband hits their collar every time they look up. Anyone have any complaints?

Worst case, I'll get the QC/UFly set up. It will be great for deadheads.
