Re: If at First You Don't Succeed....Try, Try Again
Call the MAYDAY, get ATC attention, that is the purpose of the call. I cant believe some of you are still having a debate about this. You can always CANCEL the mayday after if you no longer need it. Since I'm still going at it, when ATC gives you a heading and then subsequently clears you to a waypo...

Re: If at First You Don't Succeed....Try, Try Again
You don't need to call mayday to occupy a runway. Yes you do. If you know what caused the abort and it is non life threatening, You worry about that later and cancel mayday if you don't need it anymore then it is abusing an emergency system by calling mayday. If that's the case, then the pilots sho...

Apply to all. If you get multiple offers, pick the one you want. Once you accept, stick around for a while. Don't accept and leave after 2 months. Think about future employment. Don't burn bridges.

The only benefit I see is that you don't ever have to deal with lame shitty FO's or Captains who you don't like flying with. Besides that, this is bullshit.

Re: Instructors: Stop telling your students they need to "go instructing"...
The advice I would give is @#$! the ramp job, and get flying right away instead. Even if you hate instructing, do it, suck it up. Get the hours. Just don't be a shitty instructor to get hours, do your fukn job. NEVER offer and NEVER accept a job flying for FREE. The only time you should P2F is when ...

" If you can't follow the rules (submit to random covid testing) you aren't a safe pilot and should be grounded immediately" ..

Would this behaviour be acceptable if COVID never existed and this was a normal group charter flight? Would this behaviour be acceptable on a regularly scheduled flight? Being completely maskless? 100% acceptable. Drinking in moderation, not excessive? 100% acceptable. Vaping? Im not sure. Opening ...

Why in the @#$! do you need a mask for sneeze guard? Cant you just use your arm or elbow? It makes no sense to be walking outside, especially by yourself, with a stupid mask on.
