Re: Agreement in principle reached.
Wow. Just wow. Pretty astounding to think that ALPA was at the table. Those guys need to give their heads a shake. What a disappointment. The aviation industry in this country is really, really sick. Good luck. Hard to not agree with Ripple here... ALPA made some speeches about how the discount on ...

Re: Is the ACPA Motto: "We will get'em next time" gone?
This move from the MEC makes no sense. All it does is drag the process out mean while we are getting paid the same and under the same conditions. While they keep labour cost low. Also there is a good chance of no retro active pay. The company is winning lol. If an impass is called June 1st. We woul...

Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!
The only thing I learned from reading this thread is that AC pilots have an irrational obsession with lanyards….? Lol I've learned that we still got boomers who think once you've done one thing for the profession that gives you carte Blanche for the rest of your career to not have to do anything Or...

Kaffee,
Straight up.
What you going to do with the monumental gains brought to you by a group that ran on change?
Going to admit you were wrong and say "thank you"?

Unfortunately all the info above is verified by union emails
Company pressured 2 pilots to go to Europe despite contravention to the contract
Company also gave away personal information to hackers making RAICs compromised

The year is 2035. A jazz new hire pilot is making 85,000 a year after spending 200k to meet the qualifications for licensing for the privilege of working this job. Meanwhile Wendy’s pays its entry level restaurant managers 40 per hour, which happens to be $7 more than the $28/hour minimum wage. You...

American Airlines pilots have guarantees in their contract to ensure a certain % of single day pairings for example and limit the % of longer 4 day pairings

I'm on board, I have already depleted my savings since starting here so if I have to wait another year on flat pay for negotiations to start I will need to look for another better paying job. You knew what flat pay was before you joined AC. From management's perspective, why would they even conside...

WJ pilots eating at food banks with their wages? Yeah I’ll take things that didn’t happen for 3 dollars. And if they did, I’m calling incredibly poor financial sense in their part. Also Swoop is gone by next year, not 4 years. Read the AIP properly or don’t both posting such drivel, it’s embarrassi...

Swoop started up operations 5 years ago, what’s to stop Onex from starting another airline in 3 years so you can spend all your negotiations on capturing scope, wage parity, and more cost neutral gains some warped into “gains”.

Just to clarify, Pelmet didn't write that long post. It's the article linked at the top of the thread which appeared in the Toronto Sun today written by Brian Lilley. Your responses are excellent. Why not send them to Lilley to further his education on our situation. Correct, I am hoping for the be...

I would describe AC as the best 705 carrier in Canada
Akin to saying the Toronto Blue Jay's are the best baseball team in Canada.
Duh...you're competition is south of the border...not the Halifax Mooseheads
