Re: Missinippi
does anyone have firsthand experience at Missinippi? I just hear people say don't go there but is it the work conditions, maintenance, schedule, people? is the charter side any better or worse than medevac? I've worked there, trust me it's horrendous. Management isn't really management. Bunch of cl...

Stay far away..... you will never find a pilot with anything good to say about them. 703s are hurting right now... don't settle for the worst one in the province...

Re: Move to Yellowknife?
I'd go back in a heartbeat. Yellowknife is a really wild place. If you plan to sit on your couch all winter you won't enjoy it.... but that goes for anywhere really. There's a real sense of community there. Everything is a 10 minute drive or less. Life is simpler in the north in the best way you cou...

2 on 2 off with flight deals
Hello! I am wondering what my options are for a decent 703 company which offers a 2 on 2 off schedule with flight deals. I have always wanted this so that I have the opportunity to travel the world on my days off. Thought I would ask on here to get ideas about companies that I may not have considere...

Re: Choosing not to fly -- After a crisis.
Thanks for sharing. Sorry for your loss. A great example for young pilots who think they have to act bulletproof. Take the time when you need it. How a company responds in a situation like this tells you and others how long employees will stick around. Some companies are revolving doors and some are...

still a 2 year wait on the ramp at Tindi? considering they had a King Air flying around with 1 attitude indicator for a significant amount of time prior to losing that one and killing the crew. What do you base the statement that you have amazing captain's to learn from on? Tindi has a piss poor cu...

Re: Saron Exam
I used Nizus.com and went through the Aerocourse material that they use in the ATPL groundschool. Nizus was actually pretty good. It is just practice exams but they are pretty similar to what you will see on the exam. Wrote mine about 4 months ago.

Re: Lightspeed headset
Bose or lightspeed is the equivalent of airbus or Boeing. Everyone has theit opinion but really if you are paying 13 or 14 hundo on a headset you will end up with an over all great product.... not saying there arent some lemons out there but hey they both have a warranty lol.

I am also curious what is going on at Borek these days and what type of places the Basler works in. I know they are still in Antarctica but what other areas are they flying in? Also what is the schedule like for f/o's?
