Re: Crickets
True enough, no point in focusing on the negative, but don’t be blind to the reality of the situation either.
Re: Crickets
I find it very naive that people are enjoying their time off. I even heard one union leader goon,(that should get the Marxist socialists fired up) say he was going to have the best summer ever! Do these people realize that the very survival of the company it at stake. Fiddling while Rome burns. Blin...

Re: Retirement Wave
I wouldn’t count on too many retirements due to the senior pilots getting screwed on the arbitrated contract.
Many will have to work longer now.

Re: Beaver down
Compared to a Beaver, the 185 really doesn't want to go flying. It's not much interested on getting up on the step. If you persevere though it will try to get to the destination much faster than the Beaver and it's not particularly caring if it lands gracefully or not. Now the Beaver likes flying s...

Re: Air Canada and Westjet...what a joke
Policies are now being released for hospitals and they are not implementing any sort of ban. It's simply "do it on your own time, off the property, be fit for work and there's no problems". Perhaps these medical professionals have a better idea of the true effects of cannabis vs. The old boys in ai...

Re: SWOOP OTS Captains punted from left seat...
Check your procedures gentleman. The only time a pilot at WS is required to groom is when they are travelling under the employee standby promise which is the umbrella for the "assume you'll groom." NOWHERE in our COM / FOM etc does it require any grooming. It is also why our MEC has expected exactl...

Re: SWOOP OTS Captains punted from left seat...
Hey John , I’m a member of the ‘didn’t need it, didn’t want it, but sure as hell going to pay for it club’. I figure the only positive outcome for a large percentage of us is the possibility of seniority bidding for all things scheduling.( no doubt Herndon is growing impatient for our dues and want ...

Re: European Pilots at AC?
Almost no white person in Canada is more than two generations from immigrant. Once you get a work permit, nobody cares where you were born. Except for all of the Quebecers whose families arrived in the mid 16 hundreds and the Newfies that have DNA that goes back to the Vikings. Hmm and the Scots ar...

There’s a pilot shortage, this company can’t afford reserve.

Re: The End of the WPDL Confirmed
So that’s why junior T and his band of merry men (people) are legalizing pot. So we can be stupid numb and not care or get angry about what these clowns are doing.
It all makes sense now. Pass the bong.

Re: Gregg Saretsky is the modern Frank Lorenzo
You are in la la land if you don't think there's an opportunity for a ULCC in Canada. Is it as big an opportunity as the opportunity WJ had to exploit a void in 1996? Probably not. But it's there and WJ needs to absolutely dominate and control it in order to protect the larger franchise. Take a qui...
