Re: WestJet Mainline/Encore Hiring pool
At mainline you are normally kept in the pool for one year, at which point you have to reinterview. Most get picked up, as long as there are groundschools and you stay out of trouble. This is what I've been told anyway, and I'm pretty sure it would be similar at Encore. Hope that helps.

Re: FLICA on Android
Thanks guys, I did try using Chrome to view it, but it's formatted very poorly. The menus and submenus on the left of the screen are compressed and difficult to read or select unless you zoom in a lot. I'm planning on trying roster minder even though I hate paying for apps, especially a reoccurring ...

FLICA on Android
New at the company, just wondering if you can take full advantage of FLICA using an android device or am I wasting my time. I find viewing it in the browser to be a poor user experience. Do most people subscribe for the mobile version? Any tips? Thanks in advance!

It looks like I will be starting a new job in Calgary at the beginning of February. I'm looking for an inexpensive rental. I'm clean and quiet and will probably only be in town a handful of nights a month after the completion of groundschool. If you can help me or know of someone who can please pm m...

I'm moving out of my current place. It's a basement apartment in a house. It has big windows and comes partially furnished. Clean, quiet and private. The only thing you have to share is laundry. It's $600 a month all in with no lease required. The house is owned by a pilot. Close to parks, trai...

Re: 'Regional' Flight Crew Selection - What are you looking
Thanks guys. I read Dave's post. The previous poster referred to missing a specific posting in early October because of improperly setup job alerts. Just wanted to make sure I'm not in the same boat.

Re: 'Regional' Flight Crew Selection - What are you looking
Was there actually a posting up in early October? Maybe I don't have my alerts set properly either, but I've been checking the jobs page regularly and haven't seen anything in a while. Am I missing something?

Re: Has the music stoped
I don't really notice anything different. When I update my application the date where it says "Completed - updated: XX/XX/XXXX" never changes. Basically, my submission status never seems to change. Does it change for other people? I did interview before, does this make a difference? Thanks.

I'm not entirely familiar with the history of the pilot group at Air Canada, but can someone explain why the pilots are not represented by ALPA?

This website explains it relatively well: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/ncm-tx/rtrn/cmpltng/ddctns/lns206-236/229/trnsprttn/mls-eng.html You need to fill out this form and keep it on file in case Revenue Canada decides to audit: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/tf/tl2/README.html It basicall...

I'm looking for some up to date information regarding Canadian North. Are they hiring or will be soon? If yes, on the 737 or dash? Any information would be most appreciated.

Re: Air Canada Hiring 51 pilots
I interviewed about a month ago. I was called back for a medical about a week later and my references were called shortly thereafter. Since then I have heard nothing new. I'm surprised how quiet it has been on this forum. Does anyone know if they have filled the Dec. 01 groundschool? Any new informa...
